I have taught general English in Japan and Australia to adult students. I can prepare students for small-talk in business, social and travel contexts.

I have taught report writing in English to overseas mining engineers, and professional English to petroleum and iron ore mining industry engineers. I have also recently completed a top-up course in teaching business English. I also have experience running my own business.

IELTS

I have an increasing familiarity with the IELTS test. I am probably best able to teach writing and speaking skills for IELTS. I try to focus more on improving spoken and written grammar, which is the basis of a successful result. Through the use of AI, I am now able to also prepare useful resources for self-study.

I have run my own tour company, so I have experience in English needed for travel. I also enjoy travelling a lot and am currently on an extended stay in Japan.

TOEFL

In August 2024 I attended the TOEFL iBT Skills Workshop organised by ETS and gained insights into how to prepare students for the TOEFL iBT, as well as the grading systems used. I have prepared other students in the past for TOEFL iBT, IELTS and PTE.
