Well, it's hard to find the right words that would describe Bruce. I would say he is an absolutely fantastic teacher! To be honest, I didn't expect to meet such a great tutor, which make me realise how lucky I am. I needed someone who would help me prepare for my IELTS academic test since I had to score at least 6.5 to be accepted by my desired university. Right after a trial lesson with Bruce, I understood that with this teacher I would accomplish that. We did a lot of speaking and writing practice and funnily enough I enjoyed that. I enjoyed that just because Bruce made me enjoy that by just being an enjoyable teacher. At the end, we also practiced speaking and listening, which was designed by Bruce in a really smart way with all the exam-like time pressure (which is crucial for this test), constructive analysis of mistakes and useful tips to improve. He is not just an excellent teacher, but it was also very fun to just talk to him, which is also very important, because if you just prepare for IELTS you might just go crazy :). He is not just a native speaker, but he also knows pretty much everything about English, which is extremely rare. He is also overly knowledgable in general. You can speak with him about anything and usually he doesn't have just a rough idea, but also a deep understanding of that, even if it's far from the area he is an expert in. Besides that, he is very empathatic, which made me feel like he was my friend I had known for many years. I also felt that he was actually eager to help me meet my goals and he encouraged a lot and focused on both my strengthes, which made me feel more confident, and weaknesses, which made it clear, what I have to work on to master the test. I needed 6.5 for my program in the UK and even though I was ready for that I was still pretty anxious, however Bruce told me that he was quite confident about me getting at the very least 7.0 and he was right! I got 8.0 and I just don't know how to express my gratitude to Bruce... I didn't just pass the exam and I also learned a lot of new vocabulary, sentence structures and how to write in an academic way, which will make me more comfortable doing my master degree in Great Britain. I've been impressed by this outstanding tutor since our first class and I just wish everyone to be as lucky as me and meet such an awesome teacher and person. Thank you Bruce, I'll sincerely miss our lessons!Валентина

Bruce is a great teacher! He plans a lesson taking into account your wishes and purposes. He is great at explaining things and he is always ready to help you understand and figure out some knotty points and particularities of the english language.Konrad

IELTSBruce is a fabulous person and teacher as well. He built my self-confident very quickly. I've never thought that I would be able to use English so freely. He is a deeply oriented teacher in the language issues. He is a patient and well-mannered person with an outstanding way of speaking. Sometimes I feel as if the way of his speaking taught me the most. Listening to him is a genuine pleasure. He gives a plethora of useful hints how to tackle with the IELTS. 商务英语I was expecting someone very professional and i have not been disappointed at all. Bruce understood perfectly my request, he has been patient, made myself very confident. Bruce has got grammar, vocabulary books than you can download to do some homework before the lesson. He is very implicated and very good teacher.

Bruce is a pleasant companion and one of the best teachers I've come across. His teaching style is of the utmost quality and he adopts his approach to the learner's needs. I highly recommend him to everyone who has a love and passion for the English language, especially to those who want to get their language level to a new height and broaden their view on its wealth and beauty.

Several years providing one-to-one or small-group sessions to improve fluency, idiom and vocabulary.
In providing Business English coaching, I bring to bear years of IT, training and media business experience in a variety of settings (for large corporations based in USA, UK, SA and Ireland).
I help learners with their preparation for IELTS and other competency tests. This has become more important now, with stricter visa requirements. Also other Cambridge tests (KET, PET, FCE,CAE, CPE, BEC) and TOEFL.
Individually or in small groups of complete beginners, I gently encourage the first steps towards a good grounding in speaking, listening, reading and writing skills.
I also offer short, intensive courses focusing on grammar, pronunciation, vocabulary development or other areas as requested.
The British English Standard (written, formal, in education, publishing, government, etc.) is the basis of all English-speaking regions of the world except the USA (Canada is an anomaly - a hybrid of mainly British English with US English overlaid). British English is also the standard of international organisations such as the UN, the EU and the Council of Europe and, of course, the Commonwealth. This surprises some people, because of the presence at a superficial level of Hollywood and internet chatter.
