His path has taken him through various roles, from working on the grinding line to being a foreman in mechanical maintenance. He is currently focussing on improving maintenance management across the entire value chain. We are very pleased to have these talented, young individuals joining us in various training areas, from commercial departments like purchasing, sales, and human resources, to industrial fields where they will gain experience in industrial mechanics, electrical engineering, mechatronics, and more. Over the next few years, these trainees will rotate through key areas of our company, preparing themselves for a promising career at Sonae Arauco. When these sensors detect an imbalance, the system promptly sends an alert email to our maintenance teams, who then analyze the data. This model has not only optimized costs but also significantly extended the lifespan of our equipment. Meet Max Neuke, our Technologist at the Beeskow plant in Germany! 🌲🔧 Max is completing his Bachelor's degree in Wood Engineering at Hochschule in Eberswalde and has the position of Technologist at Sonae Arauco. 💼🌿 According to him, the biggest challenge "is to absorb as much information as possible from different fields of work, to get a complete overview of the entire process. At Sonae Arauco, we are confronted with new challenges every day, and we can make a difference if we work dedicatedly. All colleagues are very open and helpful." 🔥🌳At a time when we are facing the peak of the fire season, The 'Portugal Chama' (Portugal is Calling) campaign, promoted by the Agency for Integrated Rural Fire Management (AGIF), plays a key role in mobilising the Portuguese population to take proactive action in preventing and fighting fires. Forests are at the centre of Sonae Arauco's operations, providing the essential raw material for our wood-based products. As caretakers of this vital resource, we have a significant responsibility to preserve and protect them from the growing threats of extreme weather events, such as heatwaves and forest fires.
