Adrian created an itinerary that catered for our every need and took into account our desire to cover shorter distances on occasions. The local support from Daniel in Spain was way beyond our expectations. The accommodation was exceptional and the luggage transfer service never failed. We met many RAW Travel clients on our journey who without exception had high praise for the organisation.

Fantastic achievement!

Loved the scenery, the physical challenge, the navigation challenge, the weather challenge, the accommodation, and the people we met. Bridge House was our favourite place to stay because of the breakfast, the scones for afternoon tea, the lounge, the comfortable room and the staff.

our third walk with raw!

We walked the Nakasendo Way – our third walk with RAW! As always, they have excelled themselves! What an amazing experience. Prior to this, we walked the Kumano Kodo, qualifying us for our Dual Pilgrim certificates. So proud! Thanks RAW, we couldn’t have done it without you!

a great investment

Using the services of RAW Travel gave me the time to focus on the physical, mental and spiritual preparation for my Camino. Having my accommodation pre-booked, luggage transported daily, and the safety net of local contacts in Spain was a great investment. I didn’t have to rush along The Way searching for a bed! RAW are my ‘go-to’ for walking the Camino, Kumano Kodo and more.

remarkable experience

This was a remarkable experience. It was a tougher walk than we had expected but do-able. We loved the variety, the food and the history, and the immersion into the French way of life – local produce, gorgeous countryside and history.

best walk we’ve done!

The Coast to Coast walk is fabulous and is the best walk we have done to date. The scenery and the joy of walking in such secluded, pristine, beautiful and ever-changing vista constantly reminded us how fortunate we were to be there. The locals and fellow walkers we met were amazing and the places in which we stayed were always cosy, inviting, welcoming and a joy to be there!

beyond my expectations

Brilliant trip! Walking solo for the first time could not have been made easier or more satisfying than this. The pre-travel info helped me understand what I had to do and where I was going. The accommodation was far beyond my expectations – much nicer than the places I would have booked myself. Loved the seamless organisation that made everything stress-free, surprising and heaps of fun.

Thanks RAW Travel for an exceptionally enjoyable tour of the Dolomites. Every day was different with so many WOW moments. You have a special treasure in Diane McGuinness – she made sure everyone was looked after, right down to the tiniest detail. She was supportive and understanding during the times on the trail when I felt anxious. We also give 10/10 for accommodation and lunch stops. Our favourite was the Refuge de Fodara.
