Green Light: MM Friends to Lovers Rockstar Romance (Caffeine Daydreams Book 2) Kindle Edition
What is the true nature of the relationship between the guitarist and bassist of the world-famous rock band, Caffeine Daydreams?
Kai
I should be happy.
My childhood best friend and I are living our wildest dream—making music and touring the world as famous rock stars. I’ve got everything I could wish for.
Except him.
I’ll never have Silas. Not the way I want.
Our onstage behaviour gives fans a lot to speculate over, but it’s only an act.
The truth is, I die inside every time we touch. It might be pretend for Silas, but for me, it’s a constant reminder that I can’t have him the way I truly desire.
Then, a moment onstage leads me to a breaking point, and I can’t bear the heartache any longer.
I need to find a way to only see Silas as a friend before I lose our friendship, and him, forever.
Silas
My life is split into two chapters.
Before Kai and After Kai.
My childhood was a nightmare. A darkness I carried alone. But everything became brighter when I met Kai. He took me into his life, his family, his home.
Kai is more than my best friend. He’s my everything.
Some people think our relationship is odd…that it’s unusual for two friends to be as close as we are.
But everything about us makes sense.
At least, that’s what I believed.
When an onstage moment shines a light on the cracks in our foundation, my eyes are opened to a truth that’s been right in front of me the entire time.
A truth I want to explore.
But it’s too late. Just when I’m ready for more, Kai’s moving on.
One thing’s for sure; I’m not giving up.
No matter the risks.
Green Light is a bi-awakening, best friends-to-lovers MM rockstar romance. The second in the Caffeine Daydreams series, each book will follow a different couple as they find their HEA. Although better read in order, these books can stand alone.

It was love at first sight for Kai, or almost, even back then when both didn’t know what love
is. Their bond and friendship is unique, strong, beautiful.
Silas was a lanky lad in ripped jeans and an Offspring T-Shirt… and in his hands was a thick
branch. That day he met Kai and that was it. With a nightmare of a childhood but with Kai’s
unconditional friendship and support he got to the present… living his wildest dream,
together with his friend. They are making music! Their background so fundamental to who
they are now. To what they are and mean to each other.
Oh, the angst in this book… How can Silas be so oblivious when the truth is just in front of
him? In the lyrics! This book made me happy and sad and angry. The other members of the
band always there. Their security guys. Kai’s family (#goals).
“Green Light” is book 2 in the Caffeine Daydreams series. It can be read as a standalone but I
suggest you pick up book 1 (if you haven’t read it yet) first. So you can dive into the
phenomenal magic writing of Lark Taylor… and get ready for book 3, Jack and Arlo’s story.
I devoured the book in two days. Loved it! And I don’t think that any words of mine can do
justice…
“Like I’m drowning and flying. A contradiction of living and dying”
Kai and Silas have been best friends since they were kids. But for decades now, Kai has been hiding the fact that he's in love with Silas. Every time they perform together on stage, it hurts him more and more, until he finally decides he needs space to move on. But one impromptu kiss turns Silas on his head and changes the trajectory of their lives.
"This was Kai. He wasn’t just a random guy. He was the other half of me."
When Kai walks away, it gives time for Silas to really process his feelings. And through that bone deep pain of separation, he realizes that his feelings for Kai have been about so much more than friendship for years.
"Loving you has been the one constant in my life. Not my family, nor our careers, or even our friendship. It’s just been you."
From book one, it's been obvious that these two were meant to be together. And once you get into their heads, it's so clear that they love each other, even if it takes Silas a while to figure it out for himself. They're always there for each other, no matter what. And are their truest selves when they're with one another. And even when they were "just friends," their chemistry was off the charts. It's no wonder their fans were constantly shipping them.
"I was burning. I needed Kai to douse the flames."
These two were magical together, and while they did heat things up, it wasn't my favorite part about them. That would be how protective and supportive they were of each other. And the found family they've built with their band and their bodyguards is so special. I'm kind of hoping that the guards get their own stories cause they've wormed their way into my heart and I'm deeply invested now. But first I NEED Arlo and Jack's story. It feels like it's going to be angsty and heartbreaking, and I am so ready for it.
"“This is it now. You and me.” His smile was like a budding flower, cautiously sprouting before erupting into full bloom."
This best friends to lovers, rockstar romance was emotional with some hardcore pining, hints of hurt/comfort and an onstage awakening that will knock your socks off. I truly enjoyed seeing these two find their way to an HEA and am so excited to read the next book in this series!
I could seriously legit feel Kai's pain! The longing he felt for years was heartbreaking! I was in tears at least 3 times within the first few chapters!
Then it was heartbreaking again from Silas's POV. It gutted me!
The ending made me so happy!!
I’m not sure there’s anything that can be said that would do this book the justice it deserves. I loved it wholly and completely. Friggin’ PINING.🥺😮💨 Gets me every time. I love fussing at my Kindle and grumbling about dummies to my husband (who doesn’t listen but happens to be sitting next to me.) It’s all part of the experience.
The formatting was waaaaay better in this one than the last one, and the rest of the bones were… passable. I’m trying to be nicer about mechanics. I swear! Don’t laugh. I’m genuinely trying. It’s frustrating to see good authors get duped by shady editors, and I feel like I should point it out where I see it. Too many people don’t care, and if no one says anything, the authors just keep getting messed around. I get it; I really do. Editing is hard, but taking someone’s money and then not delivering the services they paid for is disgusting and these people should feel bad.
All that being said, Kai and Silas got the book they deserved, and again, the epilogue gave us juicy hints for book three. Plus, if you think I don’t see what’s brewing between certain satellite characters… I digress.
It was cheesy, it was OTT, the soap opera it was gave everything, and poor Tristan will definitely be showing up in a spin-off or novella or something.
4.5/5. Don’t think I’ve forgotten that I forgot to mention that lil’ cameo in book one. I seent it. I’m off to pout until Arlo’s book comes out😒✌🏽

so...book 2 of the Caffeine Daydreams series
"green light" gave me all the feels
...like literally... ALL
it made me angry and sad and happy and angsty
and I loved it all!
the story of Silas and Kai is way more than expected it to be.
to be honest - when I read book 1 I was kinda curious about Si and Kai but not exactly excited.
and what did Lark Taylor do? completely surprised me about how intense this story is
I started the book on one day and finished it on the next.
"green light" is the story of Silas and Kai - two members of the crazy famous band "Caffeine Daydreams".
they are childhood best friends and living their dream together being in a band.
everything seems perfect - but, as often, nothing is.
You don't actually need to read book 1 to understand the story but knowing the main characters from the first book makes the read way mire enjoyable I think
(and let's be honest here - you can't go wrong with any of Lark Taylor's books)

I laughed, sobbed and cheered.
Loving every book this author writes and cannot wait for the next one.
We got teased (iykyk) about kai and silas in the first book in this series, which was also a phenomenal read.
What I think I loved most about this book is the build-up of their relationship from the first moment they met. Through Kai's realisation that he liked men or specifically one man, to then Silas realising that he did not want to be in the friend zone and best friends don't do that, bro 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
This was sooo god darn sweet but also so heart breaking because they were so in love but so scared to lose each other.
This book will be living rent-free in my head for a while

Definitely recommend this series and am looking forward to book 3 in the series and maybe some side character spin offs ??? 👀👀👀
I would recommend reading this series in order.
Silas and Kai were great characters and they had a fantastic HEA, but I did find myself shouting at them to just talk to each other quite a lot. If you’re not a fan of limited communication, that might not be for you.
On the whole I really enjoyed it and I’ll be looking forward to the next in the series!
