Feral Alphas: An Omegaverse Romance (The Feral Alphas Book 1) Kindle Edition
I was told I’m an omega without a heat—a lie.
The truth? My heats were medically suppressed, and now I’ve been sold as a secret weapon in a brutal underground where feral alphas are pitted against each other in fights to the death. When the Omega Crimes Bureau raids the ring, my dream of having love with a real pack seems within reach, but freedom is never that simple.
I won’t leave my feral alphas behind, and what sane pack would accept living with two violent killers?
Note: This is an non-shifting omegaverse standalone featuring an abused FMC finding love with a pack of alpha men where she doesn't have to choose and neither do they. Includes an established MM relationship. Content includes dub con, abuse/harassment, superheats, emergency heat intervention, miss-matched pack, found family, violence, betrayal, dom/sub relationship, thought of self harm. Heavy MM.

About the author
Find Sierra at KnoxVerse Polyam Lovers on Facebook
Sierra Knoxly lives a double life. By day she is the reserved mom of young children where adventure means a walk to the park or trip to the local pool. Once night falls and the cherubs are tucked into bed, Sierra dons armour (and amor) and rides a dragon into literary battle. She rains chaos down on her characters like an avenging angel of old and shoots their hearts with cupid's bow.
Sierra started out thinking she was writing reverse harem books, but found all the possibilities of relationships within the harem too juicy to resist. Her readers call her high heat novels "poly that reads like RH." Her fantasy worlds, connected by a series of portals, are full of unusual and spicy shapeshifters who are into not only the heroine, but also each other - well, when they aren't trying to kill each other. Bisexual characters and MM feature strongly in her works.
When not writing or momming, Sierra loves bringing plants home to die and reading a reverse harem novel under a warm blanket.

Additionally, the whole alpha fighting ring and feral alphas was *chefs kiss.* Really enjoyed that for reasons I'm not sure I want to examine too closely.
However, as the story progresses, Rose becomes less and less like a real person and becomes more like a generic omega placeholder. She rocketed between constantly crying from either despair or happiness, (sorta delusional) joy, and then having sex. I don't have a problem with any of these things individually (let's be real, I showed up for the sex), but there are so many variations of and emotions besides the extremes that Rose displayed. As more characters were introduced, Rose got lost in the plot and it felt more and more like she wasn't our leading lady.
More specific criticisms: I HATED Kye's cursing avoidance ("frick" is cringe and seemed like an add-on affectation for "personality").
Some of the dialogue was a little clunky and didn't read the way real people talk. Also, way too many exclamation points all around.
I love a good BDSM dynamic but it came off a little messed up to just shove nonconsenting parties into it - like Kye's and Rose's introductions to it. I would've preferred for things to be explained to Rose BEFORE she walks in to find a naked man kneeling in the foyer.
The 3rd act conflict between Colt and Luka bothered me. I thought it was out of character for Luka to do something like that to Rose (**SPOILER**) because his commitment and knowledge of consent and power dynamics would probably prevent him from nonconsensually exposing Rose to a sexual environment. He never fully apologized to Rose (or at least not to my satisfaction) even though she was the most rightfully aggrieved party of this interaction. The potential consequences were also never explained to her.
I think it would've been better for Luka to obtain her permission, film the content, and then have Colt explode on him for expecting someone in Rose's position to understand the risks + the very real danger of having Rose taken from their care.
Also, if we're exploring a petplay kink with the ferals, I'm all for it, but it was missing something for me. I think they were TOO helpless in regards to bathing, etc. and it got icky for me. Too infantalizing, perhaps?
I'm sure this seems like a lot of criticism for a book I enjoyed, but it's because it was SO CLOSE to being one of my top omegaverse reads of all time. Just a couple of adjustments and it would be perfect.
However, I deducted a few stars for a couple of different reasons one when reading the plot of the book the story is made to seem like this would be about an omega. When in reality this is more about MM relationships surrounding the main alpha with omega thrown in the mix. You can jump whole chapters before she comes back into the mix. Less than half of this book is from Rose’s point of view, and even when it is most of the time somehow two males are still entangled with what is going on while she is kind of just there. It felt that while great detail went into the MM “fun times” Rose was just there to fulfill the role of omega in this omega verse and bring the men together. The men had incredible relationships, Rose just agreed with anything which doesn’t’t jive with a women who has never seen the outside world and has waited her whole life for a pack. She even wanted to have fun times with a male that was not her alpha…this was the arch nemesis of the main alpha and they were all like, sure that’s fine!
Second star came off because I reason I read omegaverses is because of unique characteristics that are attributed to them. There was a nest but the omega literally had nothing to do with its creation. The cleaning and cooking and other home aspects was being done by an “alpha”. That “alpha” by the way was the sub in the dom/sub relationship and acted more like an omega than Rose. The other alpha acted like a beta, easily startled by their shenanigans, kind of nervous and did whatever he was told.
In summation this is about a male alpha and his love connections, omega optional.
The story line was wonderful but I had to remove a star for a couple of reasons. I really disliked that the two feral alphas do not get a POV in this story. We get nothing from them and that really hurt my heart.
The second being that there is an alpha that’s added to the pack by the epilogue that was more of an after thought and doesn’t even really have a relationship with our FMC. That really bothered me. As I do love MM relationships within a pack but I prefer they all have a relationship with the FMC. I wish that there had at least been a warning about that lack of relationship.
The spice was fantastic, and often.
It really was such a sweet story, I wish I could have given it 5 stars, but those two things were really big points to me.

I love the characters and their stories as individuals, but also how their relationships developed.
Nobody was overshadowed, and everyone had a growth and character development.
The book might seem long, but it was no repetitive, and it gives every single story closure.
I literally couldn't stop reading it!
In the end, I was sad it was ending, but everything was beautiful and right.
I can't wait to read the next books in this universe ♡

PLEASE Sierra Knoxly write more omegaverse 🥹 I will gladly sell my soul for another one 😅
