To manage timely berthing at the port ensuring maximum productivity and minimum port-stay. Facilitate communication between terminal operators, port authorities and Principal and its partners. -Facilitate communication of vessel schedules, discharge/load information from Central Operations to the ports/terminals. -Liaise with ports for berthing based on priorities of Principal Service network and instructions given by Central Operations -In close cooperation with Ship Managers, develop solutions in the port(s) well in advance of vessels arrival. -Liaise with ports to ensure timely berthing of the vessel and efficient operation and keep Central Operations informed. -Negotiate efficient solution with terminal(s) in respect of changes to berthing plans, priorities; crane/gang allocation etc. -Keep Central Operations updated on operational matters in the terminal/port. -Maintain efficient and professional relationship with ports and other lines for negotiating berthing and cranes -Negotiate and ensure deployment of optimum equipment (gantries/loaders/etc.) during the port stay. -Resolve any potential problems concerning cargo load readiness, terminal stacking, etc. prior to berthing of the vessel. -Vessels Port Operation report -preparation & dispatch of arrival and departure reports -Reports on problems/delays/ short fall of cargo used/number of tugs used & the terminal departure report including the number of cranes used & actual moves by each crane.
Assisting to ship Supervisor & monitor Ships Oprs with them while ship is at berth for smooth Oprs job & quick berthing/sailing of vessel. Monitoring of crew matters (Crew sign on/ off) Bunker operation & other supply to ship to prevent any delay in sailing of vessel,
