AFRY collaborates with Zoox to lead the future of driverless transportation. 🚘 Earlier this year, we were thrilled to share news about our long-term partnership with Zoox, a leader in autonomous driving technology. Their purpose-built robot taxi was the first fully autonomous vehicle approved to operate on public roads, designed without a traditional steering wheel or dashboard. Since 2018, AFRY has worked alongside Zoox in body engineering, simulations (CAE), propulsion validation, and developing new attribute requirements and validation methods for this innovative vehicle. “This project truly frames our vision – Making Future. This vehicle is supposed to be a part of future transportation. And the electric drive technology is also contributing to the sustainable transition,“ says Martin Öman, Head of Division Industrial and Digital Solutions at AFRY. Improved profitability in a stable quarter Today we published our report for the second quarter. This quarter shows an improved margin, driven by the ongoing improvement programme in Infrastructure and a positive calendar effect. The market is mixed, with strong demand in the energy sector and continued weak demand in pulp & paper and the real estate segment. We would like to take this opportunity to thank our clients, partners, and employees for great collaboration and wish everyone a nice summer. What does it take to decarbonise the transport sector? Right now, our engineers are at the forefront of future mobility within the automotive industry. We navigate the ever-evolving landscape of electrification, connectivity, and autonomous development. For instance, we played a central role in manufacturing the renowned electric car NEVS Emily. We have also developed carbon footprint calculators, which allow manufacturers to be fully transparent regarding their environmental impact. Moreover, we have boosted energy efficiency on Swedish roads by developing extra-long trucks. These examples merely scratch the surface. With a track record of 500+ projects and over three million R&D hours in the automotive and transport sector last year, AFRY drives innovation while reducing global carbon footprints. Join us in driving innovation for a Better Future – engineered by AFRY. https://bit.ly/47ZROGd #makingfuture
