Our team visited six schools, educating students about road safety and donating school supplies. On June 25th, we connected with students from rural areas at a local middle school, sharing knowledge and planting seeds of safety in their hearts.

Last week, we announced our extended collaboration with the UN Road Safety Fund, reaffirming our dedication to improving motorcycle safety. To follow up on this, yesterday, Jordi Lombarte, our EVP and CTO, led a discussion panel with global stakeholders to address critical gaps in motorcycle safety as part of the UNRSF's 2024 Call for Proposals. Our comprehensive approach includes on-vehicle safety, rider safety, and safety awareness, with innovations like the first motorcycle airbags launching in 2025 and the upcoming airbag vest. By working together, we can create safer roads for everyone.

Honouring World Motorcycle Day, we're proud to announce the renewal of our collaboration with the UN Road Safety Fund (UNRSF) to enhance motorcycle safety globally. With the number of motorcycles on the road tripling since 2011, focusing on safety is more important than ever. Together with the UNRSF – UN Road Safety Fund, we are committed to sharing knowledge and insights to empower the international road safety community to drive necessary changes to create safer roads for all. This partnership supports the UN Sustainable Development Goal 3.6 to reduce road traffic fatalities and injuries by 2030 and aligns with Autoliv's goal of saving 100,000 lives annually.

We're excited to introduce airbag cushions made from 100% recycled polyester, marking a significant step towards reducing our environmental footprint. With the successful testing of this new material, we're proud to maintain our high safety standards while reducing GHG emissions by approximately 50% at the polymer level. "We are leading the way in developing airbags made from recycled polyester on current airbags – a milestone that reflects our commitment to climate action and circularity and our journey toward a more sustainable future," says Autoliv's Chief Technology Officer Jordi Lombarte. #savingmorelives #sustainability #Autoliv

Mikael Bratt, our President and CEO, was recently elected board member of Gränges AB. Gränges is a leading supplier of rolled aluminum materials. A fun fact is that in 1975, Lennart Lindblad sold Autoliv to the Gränges Group. And in 1980 appliance group Electrolux acquires Gränges, and with it Autoliv, which for a while is known as Electrolux Autoliv AB. Ultimately Autoliv was carved out and listed on the stock exchange in 1994. “I am happy and honored to be elected board member of the board of directors of Gränges. I hope to contribute by my background and experience from the automotive industry and from Swedish and international business,” says Mikael Bratt.
