Three years ago, when we raised capital, we mentioned in our press release that Germany was a promising market for us. Not long after, someone snapped up the briqpay.de domain and tried to sell it back to us at a hefty price. We weren’t interested in paying a premium, so we waited. Two years later, the domain was back on the market, and we secured it for just €5. This incident made us realize the importance of protecting our brand, so we began the process of trademarking Briqpay. That’s when things got interesting— a Spanish bank claimed they owned the letter "Q" and argued that our name infringed on their trademark. It was an unexpected challenge, but we knew it wasn’t right, so we fought back. Fast forward three years, and we’re proud to announce that Briqpay is officially our trademark. Klintberg & Way, Europe’s leading distributor of American vehicles and parts, is entering a strategic partnership with Briqpay to optimize payments and streamline the registration process for new customers. This partnership marks a significant step in KW’s digital strategy and strengthens their position as a market leader in Europe. Klarna, the world’s largest provider of Buy Now, Pay Later (BNPL) solutions, allows customers to choose from various payment options, including Pay Now, Pay Later, and Financing. This ensures a hassle-free and flexible shopping experience. 🛍️ The e-commerce market is increasingly moving towards taking control of the checkout process with standalone payment methods to tailor the best payment mix to the needs of merchants and their end consumers. We will soon go live with 8848 Altitude, where we’ve optimized their payment mix to create the best experience, conversion and transaction fees globally, with Klarna as one of the providers.
