    The backbone of placing the right people in the right project is a resource request workflow that really works. Emailing, slacking, editing spreadsheets that are not up to date, noticing someone's hours were incorrect and suddenly you have no team member to schedule for that next project. On top of that you did not get notified and can't trace any edits to resource requests. We have made notifications smarter and easier to customize to make it even easier to place the right people on the right project keeping everyone informed of edits and progress. Here's what's new: ✨ Flexible Policy Creation: Managers can now establish one or several TOIL policies, providing clear guidelines on how TOIL is accrued. ⏱️ Effortless Overtime Tracking: Team members can easily log their overtime, choosing to utilize accrued TOIL hours or regular vacation time for taking time off. 📊 Comprehensive Dashboard Insights: All TOIL activities—from requests to current balances—are visible alongside vacation days for easy management and comparison.     🔜 Big reveal ahead! 🕒 We're gearing up to release our newest feature - Time off in lieu (TOIL). But before we jump into the nitty-gritty of how this will work in Hub Planner, let's take a step back and break down what TOIL really means. What is time off in lieu (TOIL)? Time off in lieu, or TOIL, is a concept adopted by businesses that compensates their employees for additional hours worked by giving it back as time off.  TOIL or Comp Time can be beneficial to employees who may be required to work additional hours or even days, as they are rewarded with the time back to take as a holiday. Giving people this benefit can increase employee engagement and productivity by helping out with that all-important work-life balance. How does this work with the rest of your resource management?  TOIL needs to be tracked, managed, and allocated. Managers can establish global policies that set clear guidelines for accruing TOIL, while team members can track their overtime seamlessly. Doing this with the rest of your resource management you'll have immediate insight into team availability, accounting for who's working, who's accrued TOIL, and who's on vacation, all at a glance. Next up, we will dive more into how TOIL works in Hub Planner and the actual flow of things.

This time around, we want to introduce Sean Thomas Stuart, Hub Planner's Lead UX Designer, a creative force who recently joined our team. Sean is a California native who's all about understanding the 'why' and 'how' behind things, the choices users make, and the magic that happens when it all comes together.  "Growing up in sunny California, my days were filled with skateboarding, surfing, and soaking up the good vibes. Funny enough, that's what sparked my interest in design and opened up a whole new world of travel for me. Fast forward to today, and you'll find me finding joy in a good run, embracing the Swedish winters, diving into the ocean whenever summer hits" Ease of use & a great product experience is the core of Hub Planner. With Sean joining us, bringing fresh creativity and drive to this aspect - we hope to level up the product experience even further. "At Hub Planner, I'm beyond excited to be part of this awesome team. Collaborating across the board, getting the lowdown on what our diverse user base needs from their go-to SaaS resource management tool – it's the kind of challenge that keeps me on my toes.
