Kinnevik omdelade detta
Yesterday, Kinnevik held its Annual General Meeting, concluding milestones and setting directions ahead. 2023 was undeniably a challenging year for our portfolio companies, employees, and shareholders. Fortunately, 2024 has started on a brighter note, and we are well-positioned to continue our transformation as Europe’s leading listed growth investor. Back in 2018, our goal was to build a portfolio of new, promising companies. Since then, we have invested 27 BSEK in over 30 companies, crafting a balanced portfolio across different maturity phases in our four key sectors: Health & Bio, Software, Climate Tech, and Platforms & Marketplaces. Over the last 6 years, we have also released a total value of 88 BSEK to shareholders in shares and cash, including the extraordinary divided approved by the AGM. In February, we announced the divestment of Tele2. A company whose strong value creation has been instrumental in building the Kinnevik of today, and this divestment will be equally important for our future. This was the final step in our strategic transformation to becoming a pure growth investor, a transition that is now complete upon closing of the transaction. I want to give my thanks to everyone who attended the meeting yesterday. On October 23, we will host a Capital Markets Day in Stockholm, where we will dive deeper into the future of Kinnevik, alongside many of our portfolio companies who will be there to provide insights into their businesses. I look forward to meeting many of you there.
