Many of our customers find both these spatial metrics useful for their research. Please take a moment to answer the poll and share your favorite with us. 👉 The polarity score of a protein will tell you if the spatial distribution of that protein is non-random. The more polarized a marker is in a cell, the higher the polarity score. 👉 The colocalization score of two markers will tell you if the two markers appear at the same locations more often than expected by random chance, as well as how colocalized they are. The more colocalized two markers are in a cell, the higher the colocalization score. The colocalization can also be used to build colocalization networks, to look at protein groups. #MPXMonday Are you wondering if two proteins are colocalized or segregated on the immune cell surface of your cells? If so, Pixelgen Technologies's Molecular Pixelation MPX v2 kit might be able to help you solve the problem. MPXv2 with optimized chemistry launched last month provides superior sensitivity for measurement of protein abundance and localization for all panel proteins in thousands of single cells. 👉 The figure below illustrates the comparison of average pairwise colocalization scores for 32 proteins expressed in PHA-activated CD4+ T cells, generated using either MPX v1 or v2. 👉 MPX v2 showed a greater range of colocalization scores, both for positive scores - indicating colocalization of two proteins and negative scores - indicating segregation of two proteins.
