Slättö is very pleased to announce the acquisition of two residential portfolios in Finland with total value of EUR 130 million. The acquisitions are made with Finnish institutional investors as co-investors. The residential portfolios comprise approximately 800 residential units in the Helsinki Metropolitan Area (“HMA”) and Tampere, with about 70 per cent of the value concentrated in the HMA. Tuomas Kokkila, Investment Manager at #Slättö, comments: “These acquisitions substantially increase the size of our portfolio in Finland, and we are pleased to do them in partnership with existing and new institutional investors. We have followed closely the Finnish residential market for some time and believe that urbanization and limited new supply create improving underlying fundamentals for residential investments.” With these transactions, Slättö’s investments in Finland reach EUR 300 million. Today, we celebrate the remarkable efforts of two foundations, whom Slättö's team proudly supports: Her House Foundation and Wildhood Foundation, both empowering women in various ways. By employing women as park rangers in rural Africa, Wildhood Foundation has through #Akashinga ranger pioneered a new conservation strategy that places women's empowerment at the forefront of wildlife and nature protection. This initiative not only benefits the women themselves, but also their families and entire communities, while breaking down gender barriers in a profession historically dominated by men. Her House Foundation aims to make it easier for women in Sweden to find a safe place to live when they leave women's shelters.
