Info

I am a management consultant, specializing in strategy, organizational development, process improvement, and project management.

The US company Timecamp ranked me as the 49th most interesting person in project management in 2015. In 2016, Timecamp bumped me up to 41st place.

I primarily work with the Theory Of Constraints, Lean, and agile methodologies. I also use statistical tools from Six Sigma and SPC. I am a licensed ScrumMaster.

I like to learn new things, and to solve complex problems. I also enjoy working with people, and I do believe a place of work should be stimulating and fun, a place where people can grow as individuals, while contributing to a common goal.

I like to write, and I am an avid photographer. My writing credits include three management books, one photography book, a photo comic, and 400+ articles published in Swedish and US magazines.

    I started Photo Meetup to create creative spaces where photographers, models, writers, and other interested people could meet, and build skill by doing things together.

    At the first meeting, in December 2013, we were five people. In April 2016, the organization had grown to more than 400 members.

    Most of the activities are small learning events, Photo & Coffee meetups. We meet, practice, and learn together.

    We also have larger projects. The largest to date, is A Rift in Time, a fifteen month long photo comic project, where we produced a photo comic time travel adventure, complete with dinosaurs.

    Photo Meetup also serves as an organizational laboratory. The organization is Theory Y based. I began building it using ideas from the Maneuver Conflict strategic framework. I also incorporated ideas about antifragile organizations (Nicholas Taleb), and scale free network organisations.

    Goal Maps describes a method of setting goals, for individuals, and organizations, and breaking them down, so that you have complete strategies.

    Goal Maps are an easy to use, and easy to understand, alternative to strategy documents and gigantic stacks of presentation slides.

    There are plenty of real life examples, and more than 60 illustrations in the book.

  • Exploring the Practice of Antifragility

    Anthology edited by Si Alhir and Donald E. Gould.

    I am a contributing author to an anthology about building organizations that gain strength under conditions of randomness and uncertainty.

    My essay "Bring Me a Better Pterosaur" is about my practical experience building an antifragile organization from start, to more than 350 people.

    In Swedish. The book describes a practical method of achieving great lead time reduction in the publishing sector using techniques from Lean, TOC, and agile.

    Write and sell! was itself written and published in only nine days, showing the efficiency of applying Lean, TOC, and agile techniques to publishing.
