Trying to pitch accessibility features to a non-UX executive team?
This is more common than you may think. As many other have stated, None UX executive feels comfort in ROI and numbers so the UX perspective needs to be expressed in thoose terms. However there is also the perspective of short term sales vs long term recurrent purchase. Accessibility features typically will gain in the long run creating trust and acceptance. If recurrent purchase is a a factor then, this needs to be considered or maybe the company should not invest into UX in the first hand.

Launching a new product in R&D comes with power struggles. How will you navigate them among key stakeholders?
Actually I disagree that structure and internal alignment is that important. These are aspect you always need to consider. But if the Product is new to both organization and market there is other things to consider. - Awareness, communicate beyond traditional prodcom. Don’t assume stakeholders understand the key selling points, purpose or values - Proof of Concept, setup up smaller projects with low threshold.. Need and value needs to be proven, specs won’t suffice - Seeing is believing, take steps to show early prototypes and make it tangible -Embrace competition, If you like to reach a larger market, make sure the markets is mature. Standardization, industry events and partnerships can help developing the market for a new product.

Things change and sometimes you need to modify your plans but dont jump on it, stay true to your initial plan, avoid switching lanes especially during the middle of a rollout or you will find yourself on an even worse situation. Especially when launching groundbreaking products, there will be lots of opinions. Colleagues getting nervous pressure from upper management. But that’s the nature of breaking new ground, you have to fight for it and then feel comfort you stayed with your beliefs.
