The Director of SSE's Center for Wellbeing, Welfare and Happiness, Micael Dahlen, recently visited Bhutan. Here are some highlights from the trip 🇧🇹 1️⃣ The Queen Mother of Bhutan and Micael Dahlen discussing his two books, Happiness Made Easy and What’s the Point? 2️⃣ Conversations with the Vice Chancellor, focusing on wellbeing and happiness initiatives. 3️⃣ Standing at the entrance of the center responsible for monitoring Gross National Happiness, a concept introduced by Bhutan’s 4th King, Jigme Singye Wangchuck, in the late 1970s. He emphasized that ”Gross National Happiness is more important than Gross Domestic Product”. 4️⃣ Micael Dahlen on stage at Bhutan Echoes, a year-round initiative by Drukyul’s Literature and Arts Festival, cultivating a vibrant literary culture in Bhutan. The visit underscored the importance of a holistic approach to development, valuing non-economic aspects of life equally. Provdatumet är 20 oktober och anmälan är öppen 13-20 augusti. Som vi tidigare har kommunicerat behöver alla sökande till våra kandidatprogram från och med 2025 ha gjort högskoleprovet och fått minst 1,25 i resultat. Så länge du uppnår detta har du uppfyllt behörighetskravet och det spelar ingen roll om du har högre resultat, såvida du inte söker via ansökningsvägen ”högt högskoleprovsresultat” där ett betydligt högre resultat krävs. Du kan även göra högskoleprovet våren 2025 (anmälan sker i januari). Congratulations to SSE alum Anton Dahlberg and team mate Lovisa Karlsson who snagged the Olympic bronze medal in mixed dinghy today! This is Anton's second Olympic medal and Sweden's 39th Olympic medal in sailing.
