Description
How to Grow
A tough small to medium deciduous shrub offering summer flowers, autumn foliage and a valuable source of food for pollinating insects. Diervilla splendens showcases an abundance of trumpet-shaped, sulphur-yellow flowers from May to June, which contrast strikingly with its lush green leaves. The flowers are highly attractive to bees and butterflies. As autumn arrives, the foliage transforms into stunning shades of red and purple before shedding. This pest-resistant, suckering shrub thrives in all soil types and can tolerate partial shade, making it well-suited to woodland areas and for stabilising steep slopes. Height and spread 150cm (59”).
