We're the Asia chapter of the U.S.-based Asian American Journalists Association.

About us

The Asia chapter is a networking group for AAJA members in Asia and the Pacific and a bridge for AAJA members who come to the region or want to work here. We have grown in recent years into one of AAJA’s largest chapters with about 200 members, from India and Nepal, across Southeast Asia to China, Japan and South Korea. In major cities, vibrant sub-chapters organize rewarding and fun talks and networking and career-development events. AAJA-Asia is proud to host the 10th edition of the New.Now.Next Media Conference (N3Con) August 27-30, 2020 — an all digital event. 2020 has been an extraordinary year — and journalists have done extraordinary work to report on the greatest global crisis of our generation. From overrun emergency rooms to streets filled with tear gas, journalists have needed to adapt and innovate to tell crucial stories from The New Frontlines. N3Con 2020 is dedicated to sharing these stories and the expertise that make them possible. With in-depth panels, workshops and talks focused on the challenges confronting Asia's news media landscape, N3Con 2020 aims to provide journalists with the skills they need to innovate in the face of extraordinary change. Now more than ever, we also need community and support. N3Con 2020 offers opportunities to connect with journalists and media professionals in Asia Pacific and beyond. During these challenging times, we aim to make N3Con 2020 an invaluable and accessible resource for journalists, media professionals and students everywhere. That's why we are offering an engaging four days of programming at a nominal fee. See you at N3Con 2020!
