Filtrona is pleased to announce the divestment of its subsidiary, Filtrona Tapes Inc., to Fairmont Group, a Miami-based investment group. This strategic move aligns with Filtrona’s renewed focus on its core Filters business. This divestment follows Filtrona’s recent decision to close its Tear Tape manufacturing operations in Nottingham, UK, and ancillary tape operations in Indonesia and Paraguay. These actions are part of our broader strategy to concentrate on our primary filters business segment. Fairmont Group, with its strong track record of investment and growth in various sectors, has made a firm commitment to maintaining and expanding the successful legacy of the US tear tapes business, which has been operational in the US since 1992. Their commitment ensures that the company will continue to thrive, innovate, and serve its customers with the highest standards of quality and service, providing a secure future for the business. Filtrona will help ensure a smooth transition to Fairmont Group, which is committed to serving all existing customers with the same level of excellence.

We celebrated a new milestone yesterday at Filtrona Indonesia with the commissioning of our new solar rooftop. Installed on the roof of our filter manufacturing facility, the solar panels have a power output of 505 kWp and will reduce up to 632 tons of carbon dioxide annually. That’s equivalent to more than 4.5 million kilometres of driving! 🚗 This latest #sustainability project by Filtrona aligns with our goal to reduce energy usage and achieve Net Zero Emission by 2050. We will continue to invest in clean and renewable energy to reduce our carbon footprint. At Filtrona, our dedication to social responsibility extends beyond the scope of our business operations, reaching into the heart of the communities where we operate. On 25th June in Singapore, Filtrona employees volunteered to spend meaningful time with more than 20 seniors under the care of Montfort Care Eldercare Services, a social service agency that’s committed to improving the well-being of seniors across Singapore. We had a delightful morning preparing snacks for the seniors and taking them for a picnic by the beach. The Filtrona team also engaged in fun activities with the seniors, such as ball games, light exercises, and biking along the beach.
