Last night, we were presented the Merit Award by Minister Edwin Tong SC at the People’s Association Community Spirit (PACS) Awards 2024. This honour is in recognition of our contributions to the Queenstown division of Tanjong Pagar GRC, through our Community Shop @ Lengkok Bahru. Under this #GivingBetter initiative, we provide around 750 lower-income individuals and families with monthly food support, and better access to nutritious fresh produce. Thank you People's Association for the acknowledgement! The PACS Award is given to exemplary partners who have assisted in building social capital and contributed to the community. It was truly an inspiring evening for us to be in the company of over 140 exceptional agencies to celebrate the kampung spirit and our shared efforts to uplift and care for those in need amongst us. Bravo to all the other Award Recipients! In a fast-paced city, it's easy to overlook those who are struggling daily to make ends meet. With your support and trust, we will achieve greater impact through our work. Stay tuned for news on the expansion of our Community Shop network! cc Edwin Tong SC Robin C. About us
Food from the Heart is a charity with IPC status that feeds the needy through our food distribution programmes. It was established in February 2003 after Singapore-based Austrian couple Henry and Christine Laimer read an article about bread wastage. Stirred, they moved to channel surplus food from bakeries and hotels to those in need. Today, Food from the Heart is Singapore's foremost independent food charity that makes a tangible and meaningful contribution to fighting hunger through bread rations and food packs, and bringing joy through the distribution of toys and birthday celebrations. With the support of donors, food industry partners and more than 15,000 volunteers, Food from the Heart made a difference to the lives of 53,700 people throughout Singapore by distributing $6.35 million worth of food in 2020.

EFG International's donation of over 4,600 food items comes at a perfect time as donations have slowed down over the last few months. This generous donation will go directly to our Community Food Pack programme that feeds close to 12,000 families each month! We are incredibly grateful for EFG International's partnership, this will help us to continue providing #consistent and #reliable support to our beneficiaries 🫶🏼 If you are keen to hold a food drive within your organisation, email [email protected] to find out more ✨
I always believe that giving back to our community is one of our top priorities. Hence i am really proud that recently our Singapore branch partnered with Singapore charity, Food from the Heart, for a food donation drive. Food from the Heart does incredible work in collaboration with grassroots organisations and welfare homes to support low-income individuals in our community. Even more pleased to announce that our team's efforts resulted in over 4,600 donation items, valued at over $16,000, being collected! A heartfelt thank you to all our staff in Singapore who supported this initiative and made it such a success! We will certainly continue to do more for the community in Singapore!! #givingback #communityservice #fooddonationdrive #Singaporecharity #socialresponsibility #teamwork #makeadifference #thankyou #proud #CSR #doinggood #helpingothers #foodfromtheheart #giveback #FoodfromtheHeart

As we celebrate our Nation's independence, we are also reminded of the lives we touch and the community that comes together to support us in what we do! It was a joy to be at the Marsiling National Day Dinner and Celebration, and to witness the impact that we have on the community ✨ We will continue to serve the community with heart and ensure that our families will always receive reliable and consistent support! ❤️
We were honoured to be invited to the Marsiling National Day Dinner and Celebration. It was a fantastic event filled with vibrant performances by school kids and grassroots organizations, showcasing the spirit and unity of our community. Being in Marsiling reminded me of the vital work we do at Food from the Heart in Marsiling. We serve more than 1,500 families with monthly CFP (Community Food Pack) filled with essential food items, fresh produces, fruits and eggs, ensuring they receive reliable and consistent support. It is heartening to see the impact of our efforts, sharing hope and nourishing lives every day. I am deeply grateful for the dedication of our volunteers and the generosity of our donors and supporters, who make it possible for us to continue this important work. Events like this celebration are a testament to the strength and resilience of our community. Happy National Day, Singapore! Let's continue to come together, support one another, and build a brighter future for all. #HappyNationalDay Zaqy Mohamad #Marsiling #Saturday

More than two decades, #BreadRun is still going as strong as ever 💪 A #throwback to last year, in celebration of our 20th anniversary, we paid a tribute to how our charity was founded in 2003: Bread Run. A simple idea of rechanneling excess bread to the less-fortunate, but a whole lot of #dedication and #compassion to keep it going everyday for 20 years, rain or shine! We cannot express our gratitude enough towards the 11 long-service bakery partners (one of them being BreadTalk Group Pte Ltd!) and 61 founding year #BreadRunners (volunteers), for believing in our vision and helping us deliver on our mission all these years. If you are a F&B player in Singapore - retailer, manufacturer, importer and wholesaler - join our ecosystem to put excess or near-expiry food to charitable use. #DidYouKnow since 2003, we’ve been working together with Food from the Heart to support the less fortunate in Singapore? We’re honoured to mark two decades of collaboration with Food from the Heart under their longest-running food distribution programme, Bread Run. Through Bread Run, unsold bread is channelled daily to the needy instead of letting them go to waste. Last year, Food from the Heart recognised our longstanding partnership with a commemorative plaque during their 20th anniversary celebrations. We’re proud to continue making a positive impact in our community alongside them 🤗 A big thank you to Food from the Heart for taking us along on this meaningful journey! 💓 #BreadTalkGroup #BTGcares #CSR #SocialImpact #BTGsustainability #FoodFromTheHeart #FFTH #FFTHsg (Photo 1 featuring programme beneficiary courtesy of Food from the Heart)

Today, we wrapped up an eventful month with PAP Community Foundation (PCF) at their inaugural PCF Charity Week 2024. We were honoured to receive a donation of $20,000 from their CMC Chairperson, Minister Josephine Teo, a generous demonstration of PCF's dedication to “DO GOOD”. A champion of children, seniors and families, PCF's team prepared over 800 food packs over the past three Saturdays at our warehouse this month. As a finale of their volunteering, they also delivered food packs to over 40 households on Wednesday morning. With nearly 60,000 beneficiaries to feed monthly, every bit of help goes a long for us. Across every level and department, including their leadership Mr Victor Bay, your positivity and hands-on commitment is commendable and truly inspiring. Thank you for contributing your resources in to help us build a stronger community for everyone. Your support is timely to help communities in need defray their financial burden, in times of rising costs of living. If you're an organisation looking to make meaningful difference like PCF, get in touch with us at foodfromtheheart.sg or email us at [email protected]!
