Throwback Friday! Relive the highlights of our Trainee Graduation Ceremony that happened on 8 August 2024!

🚀 Did you know that over 28.5 billion documents are utilised in logistics annually? At SAESL, we're proud to contribute to the transformation of supply chain routes and seamless digital integration by taking part in the UK – Southeast Asia Trade Digitalisation Pilots Commercial Initiative.  Our involvement in the Pilots Initiative has revolutionised our shipment process, slashing operational time by 2-3 days and enhancing overall efficiency. With improved visibility into the dispatch process and shipment tracking, teams can now collaborate more effectively. The project has yielded remarkable results, reducing cargo shipment time from 5 days to just 3 days, cutting paperwork by 89%, and accelerating processing time by threefold. As a result, staff productivity has surged by an impressive 67%. This pilot initiative was orchestrated by British Chamber of Commerce Singapore (BritCham) in partnership with LogChain and with support from the UK Government.    To learn more about our journey to trade digitalisation, check out this video clip.

On 8 August 2024, we proudly celebrated the graduation of 216 trainees at Changi Village Hotel—the largest cohort to date from our 'Train Our Own Technicians' programme. This milestone marks the successful completion of their 1-year training journey and the beginning of a new chapter filled with opportunities to pursue their aspirations in aerospace. The significance of this annual occasion was elevated by the presence of our CEO and the leadership team, who joined in recognising the achievements of our graduates. In his speech, the CEO shared his own inspiring journey, recounting how he began as a trainee with Rolls-Royce over 20 years ago, underscoring the potential for growth and success within the industry. The trainees completed three months of intensive classroom training, followed by nine months of hands-on, on-the-job training (OJT) on the shop floor. This rigorous programme required immense dedication and self-discipline from each participant. We were also pleased to honour three exceptional individuals as Model Trainees: Harvinder Singh Kernail Singh from Fan Blade, Devendra Tamil Selvam from Fan Case, and Muhamad Amirul Afiq Bin Muhamed Fazil from Module Sentencing. Their achievements exemplify the hard work and commitment needed to excel in our field. Last Saturday, SAESL employees from various departments came together for our 2024 Futsal Tournament. From Student to Proud Alumnus: Johnathan Lim Inspires Future Engineers Johnathan Lim, our Senior Lean Management Executive, recently returned to his alma mater, Singapore Polytechnic, to inspire Year 1 Chemical Engineering students with his remarkable journey. 🌟 We had a fantastic time at the Jobs Connect fair, jointly organised by Jalan Besar GRC GROs and e2i, held at Bugis+ on 6 July. Last weekend, our team had an unforgettable experience at Hay Dairies Goat Farm. 🐐 We embarked on an educational tour, learning all about how goats are cared for, fed, and milked. Not only did we have a wonderful chance to feed and pet the goats ourselves, but we also savored some fresh and nutritious goat milk to end our day! 🥛   It was delightful to see our employees bring their loved ones along, making it a special day filled with close-up interactions with these charming animals.
