Product Management Immersion: Navigating Real-World Challenges (13 Mar 2024) We are delighted to have collaborated with SAGE and NUS Product Club for this workshop! Industry professionals Huang Jianyang, Mark Vu, and Wing Shan K., took the opportunity to share insights into the role of a product manager and personal experience from their respective sectors. Attendees to this workshop also had the opportunity to work on a real-world case study in small groups to apply the product management concepts learnt through the session, followed by receiving valuable feedback from the three industry professionals. Some key takeaways during the mini panel session include: - Product management is an iterative process, constantly seeking to maximise the value to businesses and customers through limited resources. - It is possible to pivot to a product manager role from a non-STEM/technical background. - Relevant transferrable skills that can enable the pivot includes communication skills, project management skills, and being digitally savvy.
