🔍 Behind the Scenes at EISCH Glaskultur in Frauenau! Eduard Capdevila Puig had the incredible opportunity to visit the heart of crystal craftsmanship at EISCH's facilities in the picturesque Bavarian Forest. What a journey it was! From witnessing the precise art of glass design to observing the meticulous steps of production, every moment was a masterclass in the heritage and innovation of glassmaking. 🤝 Eduard was warmly welcomed by Eberhard Eisch, a representative of the 6th generation of the Eisch family. His passion for glass and dedication to quality was evident as he guided us through their entire process. What struck us the most was how EISCH maintains the delicate balance between traditional techniques and modern innovation, all to ensure that each piece of glassware is nothing short of perfection. 🌲Set in Frauenau, in the heart of the Bavarian Forest, a region renowned for its rich natural resources that are indispensable for crystal production, EISCH utilizes these elements to sustainably produce heat in their furnaces. This is crucial for achieving the high temperatures required for melting pure crystal components which will then produce the highest quality of crystal products. 🎨 The highlight of the tour was seeing the artisans at work, where every item is meticulously handcrafted and decorated. Our trip to Eastern France a few months ago was bitterly cold so, whilst a week tasting Burgundy and Sancerre might sound like bliss it was in fact quite a tough assignment! We made visits in Macon, Marsannay, Pommard, Sancerre and Champagne which resulted in some wonderful new wine discoveries which we will be offering soon 🇫🇷 Highlight wineries visited include: Damien Martin and Domaine de la Puits, Jeanson Parigot, Pernod Père et Fils, Domaine Tabordet in Sancerre, Christophe Patrice Chablis, and Champagne Florence Duchêne 🍇
