Last night, XA Network and StashAway teamed up for an inspiring session in our 'Industry Briefing' series, this time diving into Sustainability Tech. Grace Sai (Unravel Carbon ), Kristoffer Jacek Soh Zhi Wei (Beep) , and Zachary Lee (李惠翔) (The Radical Fund) shared their personal journeys, the challenges they’re tackling, and offered thoughtful advice for anyone interested in making a real impact in sustainability and investing. 🎉 We've raised our Pre-Series A round!! It's been an absolute privilege to have the continued support of our existing #Seed and #Pre-Seed investors in doubling down on our mission to make charging easy for everyone. Just under a year ago, we announced our #Seed round together with the launch of the largest #ElectricRoaming (eRoaming) network in SEA together with 11 #ChargePointOperators in Singapore, with an ambition to grow regionally into Malaysia & Thailand. Since then, we've: 🔌 Onboarded additional charging providers including prominent market players such as ChargEco in 🇸🇬, KINETA in 🇲🇾, SHARGE Management and Evolt Technology in 🇹🇭, and more 🚘 Deployed live usage for our roaming platform, including a closed-door pilot with Grab in 🇸🇬 whilst increasing our pipeline of mobility partners with market leaders including EVME PLUS Co., Ltd., Huawei, WHA Group, (and more that we aren't fully ready to name just yet 😉), allowing us to cover a broad spectrum of use cases from 2-10 wheelers with battery sizes from ~1-420+ kWh 🚀 Gained better insights and connectivity into the #EV, #mobility and #sustainability ecosystems as 1 of the Top 5 winners of the PETRONAS #FutureTech 3.0 program facilitated by StartupX, and as 1 of 34 selected green-techs out of over 350 applicants in the UOB FinLab GreenTech Accelerator 2024 📰 Had the honour of joining the Forbes #30Under30 Asia Class of 2024 for #EnterpriseTechnology marking our growth from powering transactions in Vending Machines to eMobility Today, we've expanded our network to over 5,000 charge points, maintaining our lead as the largest permission-based #eRoaming network in the region. We're honoured to have the opportunity to work with a wide range of partners including charge point operators, OEMs, navigation providers, logistics fleets, rental platforms, payment providers, ride-hailing operators and more to play our part in the region's #electrification journey. #EV sales have only further accelerated regionally, with an astounding 894%(!!) year-on-year growth - in Singapore, Battery Electric Vehicle (#BEV) sales took up almost 1/3 of all new cars in the first 5 months of 2024. Tapping into this massive growth opportunity will require strong operational expertise and market experience, and we're excited to have Ming Maa join us as advisor as we navigate the complex landscape of #SouthEastAsia. I had the pleasure of attending an insightful HealthTech event co-hosted by XA Network and Google Cloud. The gathering of founders, investors and thought leaders provided valuable insights into the evolving landscape of HealthTech, from market opportunities and regulatory considerations to the innovative ways AI is transforming the industry. A definite highlight was meeting Andrew Soebagijo and Alexander Anggada, co-founders of CareNow Indonesia. Their mission to democratise access to healthcare financing through innovative solutions is truly inspiring. It was a treat to learn from Jan Lim about the eye care business, how Theodoric Chew is modernising mental healthcare at Intellect, and the innovative work Rudy J. R. is doing with blockchains at Knowledge Catalyst. A big thank you to Hyegi Chung, Brian Chen and Tony Zameczkowski for orchestrating such a wonderful meet-up. On a personal note, it was a walk down memory lane to revisit the vibrant atmosphere of a US tech company – complete with afternoon beer and live music. Congratulations to Benjamin Long and Kristoffer Jacek Soh Zhi Wei, co-founders of Beep, an XA Network portfolio company, for being recognised in Forbes 30 Under 30! Launched in 2018, Singapore-based Beep helps vending machine operators modernise their machines with cashless transactions and online connectivity. During the pandemic, Beep's technology was repurposed to help the Singapore government distribute masks and test kits, earning its founders the COVID-19 Resilience Medal. In 2021, Beep expanded into electric vehicle infrastructure services through its subsidiary Voltality.
