The Food Innovation Product Award (FIPA) 2016 (July to October) brought together food manufacturers and tertiary students to collaborate and co-create new, innovative food products. This competition took the combined teams of food manufacturers and students through a full cycle of innovation – from conceptualisation, to prototyping and testing, to marketing validation.

Invited to speak on the topic of "The Robots are Coming". Understand how robots are making waves in the hospitality industry and how you could potentially take advantage of them to perform certain tasks.

Participants are required to design and develop robotics application ideas for use in the Food & Beverage Industry, build a robotic prototype to demonstrate the idea and deploy it in an actual restaurant environment.

Invited as guest speaker for the NPM launch event due to my involvement as the Honorary Secretary of the Restaurant Association of Singapore (RAS) and the Advisor for Joint Task Force between RAS and SPRING, which serves as a platform for SPRING and RAS to jointly work on key national projects & initiatives to drive Productivity Improvements, build talent pipeline and facilitate knowledge transfer for the F&B industry.
