IMSG is the first-ever international moot organised in Singapore that focuses on mediation advocacy and mediation. Organised by Singapore International Mediation Institute (SIMI), the event seeks to bring together the best teams from around the world to celebrate a shared passion for mediation, and also to commemorate the signing of the mediation convention on 7th August 2019.

GLIDE is a Singapore LegalTech Accelerator Programme that connects high-growth LegalTech entrepreneurs with law firms, law schools and legal industry professionals to revolutionise Asia's legal industry.

First Mediation Advocacy Competition in Singapore organized by NUS Law with participating students from NUS, SMU and SUSS during which Carina contributed as a jury.

Mentor to all participating teams with Future Law Innovation Programme by Singapore Academy of Law. The mentoring included the team dynamics, the work processes, the resources management, the business model creation, the user experience and the pitching.

Carina was Project Manager in the Dream Singapore initiative, which was about coaching 500 people for free over 300 days with the generous participation of Master Certified Coach Kelvin Lim from Executive Coach International. There was no funding and available budget and the whole project was running based on volunteers and generous sponsors giving access to their premises.

There was no funding and available budget and the whole project was running based on volunteers and generous sponsors giving access to their premises.

Not only was the target of 500 people met but even exceeded since a total of 522 people have been coached during that month.

The primary focus of Dream Singapore was to give free access to coaching for those who would otherwise not consider coaching, whichever barrier they might have. The whole team was extremely satisfied to have given this opportunity to so many different people while setting a world as well as a national record of people coached within such timespan by one single coach.

This was possible due to the extreme dedication of the coach as well as the numerous volunteers and organisations supporting the initiative. Show less

This presentation was intended to introduce the legal framework in relation to marketing, including promotional games in Singapore.

There was a brief presentation of the Consumer Protection Act and the Singapore Code of Advertising Practice, which govern the marketing of products and/or services by companies.

The main idea is to protect consumers against unfair practices but they also set the limits and boundaries as to how far a company can or should not go.

This presentation was intended to introduce the legal framework in relation to marketing, including promotional games in Singapore.

The main idea is to protect consumers against unfair practices but they also set the limits and boundaries as to how far a company can or should not go.

Following which, two more Acts were briefly introduced - the Personal Data Protection Act and the Remote Gambling Act. Although these Acts are not focused on marketing per se their impact should not be ignored. Show less

Hosted by Ms. Liliane ACARD, in charge of Asia department of CCI Paris Ile-de-France, Martine LESPONNE - Head of the Business Development in SEA at the FCCS - and Carina ROGERIO - Head of the French Desk of Luther LLP - conducted a workshop on negotiating with Singapore partners, contract law, existing options for legal entities taking into account tax and accounting considerations, labour and immigration law.
