Volunteering with Halogen Foundation, I mentored secondary school students in developing their own business ideas under the Network for Teaching Entrepreneurship (NFTE) program - with the intent of honing their critical thinking and creativity skills, alongside developing their confidence through working on their presentation skills. This included reviewing, conceptualizing and rectifying their business ideas and building meaningful relationships with the students.

Before the pandemic, my team and I had intended to head to Ilo Ilo, the Philippines to engage and empower the local communities there. As a Sponsorship Executive, my sub-team focused on raising funds for the beneficiaries and our volunteer work through rounds of fundraising, whereby I was given the opportunity to oversee the fundraising events.
In 2021, we shifted our focus towards empowering communities in Singapore by collaborating with Halogen Foundation Singapore. -
