Based in Singapore, Gautam, 37, is an omnipresent voice in the human resources realm in Singapore and India as well as in places like Australia, the Philippines and even the United States. She started her own leadership and development consultancy called Global People Tree, and she is also the program director of the women and leadership program at Singapore Management University.

In her spare time, Gautam hosts the India HR Chat on Twitter and is the only woman from the Asia-Pacific region to be selected to join the Leadership Transition Institute, a think tank created by the CEB, formerly known as the Corporate Executive Board Co.
In recommending Gautam, Yashwant Mahadik, global head of HR business transformation at tech company Royal Philips, said: “If organizations learn from/replicate her approach, they will be creating impactful learning experiences for their workforce and embedding a learning culture for the future.”
