Kailash Temple: A Monumental Achievement (Both architecturally and technologically) With the groundbreaking collaboration of Pod 8 Studios and Amaze Studios we have created a stunning digital double of this UNESCO World Heritage Site maintained by the Archeological Survey Of India, the iconic Kailash Temple. Renowned as an architectural marvel, the temple has been meticulously captured in a virtual space ,using photogrammetry techniques. This innovative approach allowed us to capture the temple's detailed carvings and sculptures with unparalleled precision. The captured data was then processed using Capturing Reality Reality Capture and is now being showcased in Unreal Engine. The result is a highly accurate and immersive digital experience. This digital replica not only preserves the temple's historical significance but also offers a unique opportunity for people around the world to experience its beauty and complexity. The Kailash Temple in Ellora caves, Aurangabad, India is a remarkable monolithic cave temple carved out of a single rock face. Standing at 107 FT tall, it is considered one of the greatest architectural achievements of ancient India. This ancient Hindu temple, dedicated to Lord Shiva, is renowned for its intricate sculptures, towering gopuram, and breathtaking architecture. What makes this project a truly remarkable accomplishment is the fact that it was captured by a team of 3 talented photogrammetry artists over a period of 4 days, using only DSLR cameras, and no other equipment. By creating a digital twin of the Kailash Temple, Pod 8 Studios and Amaze Studios have not only preserved this historical gem but have also opened up new avenues for exploring and appreciating its beauty. #Photogrammetry Epic Games #3dScanning #Photography #digitaldouble #Architecture #Detail #Intricacy Quixel 80 Level #Kailash #Ellora #Aurangabad #Heritage #Carving #Preservation Canon Sony #3d

What happens if you close 3D guys for three days in a castle with all their toys? Well, they take 20 000 photos, do 1 000 scans, and then leave their computers burning for loooong days. We're barking up the right tree with these Eucalyptus bark scans from Max Kutsenko 🌳 Max's tip for scanning is to take advantage of the Simplify Tool when you want to project a color texture onto a model. Simplifying your high-detail mesh to around 15 mil triangles will make the color generation quicker and retain sharpness!
