The Corwin team finished another "Od Tatier k Dunaju" relay race. 🏃 The 345 km running route started in Jasná in the Low Tatras and ended on the banks of the Danube in Bratislava. This year, we took 34th place out of a total of 214 teams, completing the race in approximately 31 and a half hours. Congratulations to everyone for the great athletic performance, and we look forward to doing it again next year. #Corwin #team #running

Green roofs offer year-round benefits, and one of them is cooling the building during hot summer days. A great example of this is our recent thermal imaging measurements in the GUTHAUS project and its surroundings. The inspection took place in the afternoon on a clear day to capture the maximum daily temperatures. Take a look at the results with us: The average temperature on the central roof of our GUTHAUS project was 37.5°C. In comparison, the roof of the neighboring supermarket reached an average temperature of 65.2°C. Measurements were also taken in the park near the residence, where the average temperature was 29.6°C, while the parking lot of the neighboring supermarket averaged 51.7°C. Thanks to its greenery, GUTHAUS offers a more pleasant microclimate for the residents of the project and its visitors. 🌳 #Corwin #GUTHAUS #development #greenroof #greenery

Palma area will come to life with another event. 🇻🇳 At Corwin, we believe that supporting communities is essential for a balanced urban life. Human-scale urbanism means that the human body and senses are the starting point when designing cities. What does this look like in practice? 👇 Most details are at ground level, making the city vibrant and interesting for pedestrians. Facades are not monolithic blocks but change with each entrance, making the city more pleasant to move through. Employees in buildings don't have to wait for an elevator from the 20th floor. They can just go down two floors and a restaurant is right there. All cars are safely and comfortably parked in the garage, as essential amenities are within walking distance from work or home. The hierarchy of spaces creates a sense of belonging - there are front yards for children, inner blocks for families or close communities, and lively public squares. A great example of such a project will be our Palma, transforming a neglected area into a neighborhood for everyone. The bees on the green roof of the Einpark Offices project have been exceptionally diligent this year, producing a record 350 kg of honey from the 12 hives. 🐝 Every summer, we and our tenants look forward to the honey harvest, which has become a truly sweet tradition. It’s not only a chance to taste this year’s produce but also a perfect opportunity to meet people from other companies working in the same building. We enjoyed the event in a relaxed atmosphere, and it also provided a chance to learn something new during the workshop or the hive tour with a beekeeper. How do you usually travel to work? At Corwin, we once again participated in the nationwide "Do práce na bicykli" challenge. 🚲 Throughout June, 42 of our colleagues covered a total of 15,903 km by biking, walking, or using public transport to get to work, saving 2,978 kg of CO2 emissions in the process. We strive to design and build our projects to be accessible by various modes of transportation. That's why this campaign is close to us, and we are delighted that more and more colleagues join each year. At Corwin, we were delighted to welcome students again, this time young professionals from abroad participating in their exchange program at the EIT Digital and EIT Urban Mobility Summer Schools. Besides theoretical lectures, we also demonstrated sustainable development in practice during a visit to our Blumental project. We explained to the students how we create projects, the areas a developer needs to consider, and how urbanism, sustainability, and community building fit into the process. The students also showcased their skills and knowledge through a small business challenge we prepared for them.
