Hi! My name is Mrs. Fatima Mahawa Nyandebo (née Sandi) and I currently serve as the Deputy Executive Director of the National Investment Board in Sierra Leone, leading the nation's strategic initiatives to foster economic growth by attracting critical foreign and domestic investments through reform packages and policy shifts.
With over a decade in the Sierra Leonean public sector, I played a pivotal role in the Project Fiduciary Management Unit at the Ministry of Finance. My contributions spanned financing, procurement, and adept management of investment portfolios for esteemed international financial institutions and donors, including the World Bank, DFID, ADB, and IDB.
Outside my professional commitments, I'm passionate about community development. I founded the Nyali Foundation in 2015, which is now dedicated to safeguarding the health and wellness of vulnerable women and girls in Sierra Leone, championing Mental Health Awareness, and supporting women's wellness initiatives.
In my leisure, I find joy in traveling, exercise, reading, writing, baking, and cherished family moments with my husband, Tamba, and our daughter, Leila Nyali.
