All 30 MLB franchises are dreaming of reaching the World Series when the season begins. Some of those aspirations are more realistic than others, but fans of every team will be pencilling the 2024 World Series dates into their diaries.
The Seattle Mariners are the only team to have never appeared in a World Series. Four others have never won the Fall Classic. Of the teams to have previously played a World Series, the Pittsburgh Pirates have the longest drought at 44 seasons.

The 2024 World Series will begin on Oct.25. A potential game seven will take place on November 2.
According to playoffstatus.com, the World Series will see rest days after Game 2 and a potential Game 5. Start times are yet to be confirmed. Fox Sports will broadcast the entirety of the 2024 World Series after showing the NLDS and NLCS. TBS has rights to the ALDS and ALCS.

Who Won the World Series in 2023?
The Texas Rangers won the World Series in 2023. Texas defeated the Arizona Diamondbacks in five games, with Corey Seager becoming just the fourth player ever to win multiple World Series MVPs (along with Bob Gibson, Reggie Jackson, and Sandy Koufax).

It was Texas’ first World Series triumph after losing in the 2010 and 2011 editions. The Diamondbacks had not appeared in the World Series since winning the title in 2001.
Who Is in the World Series This Year?
The two teams in the World Series won’t be known until the end of the ALCS and NLCS in October. Baseball betting provides an indication of the teams likely to be there, however, with the New York Yankees and Los Angeles Dodgers favoured in the AL and NL, respectively.
