  • Argentina (+110) is the favorite on the three-way moneyline.
  • My prediction for Sunday’s final centers around the first team to score prop.
  • Anytime goalscorer prices along with a corner kicks prediction.

On Sunday, Argentina looks to capture yet another major final win in the Copa America final against Colombia.

The current Copa America holders, who also claimed international honors at the 2022 World Cup, captured a 2-0 win over Canada in the semifinals.

Controversy featured prominently in Colombia’s semifinal. After going up 1-0, they held on despite a red card against Uruguay.

These sides met in the 2021 Copa America semifinal with Argentina advancing to the final on penalty kicks.

Here’s a look at the Copa America odds and my prediction for Sunday’s final.

Argentina vs. Colombia Odds

  • Argentina Moneyline: +110
  • Colombia Moneyline: +310
  • Draw Moneyline: +195
  • Total Goals: 1.5 (-190/+135)
  • Both Teams to Score: Yes (+120), No (-175)

Argentina vs. Colombia Prediction: First Team to Score

Based on Argentina’s quality of generating chances with the ball, I predict Argentina Scores the First Goal (-130).

The defending champions have only conceded once so far this tournament. That came in the quarterfinal against Ecuador, who scored late in stoppage time to force extra time.

Save for that occurrence, Argentina have scored the first goal in every match.

This match also presents an unfamiliar spot for Colombia, who have closed an underdog only twice this tournament.

Although they scored the first goal against Uruguay, they allowed a goal to Brazil inside the first 15 minutes.

That record is consistent with Colombia’s struggles against Argentina.

Sample Colombia’s last three meetings with Argentina and bettors will find they’ve conceded the first goal all three times, including twice inside the first 10 minutes.

Expand the sample size to include their last six matches against Brazil and Argentina and bettors will find Colombia has conceded first five times.

Their only success? A goalless draw against Brazil back in 2021.

Add in the strength of the Argentina defense, and I’m happy to lay this price with the favorites.

Argentina vs. Colombia: Who Will Score a Goal?

Based on current betting odds, Argentina talisman Lionel Messi (+185) has the best chance to score a goal.

Messi is tailed on the odds board by teammates Lautaro Martinez (+220) and Julian Alvarez (+240).

Argentina vs. Colombia: How Many Corner Kicks Will There Be?

Based on the current line of 8.5 corner kicks, I predict the UNDER will hit on Sunday.

After seeing all three group matches finish over 8.5 corners, Argentina have seen both knockout round matches finish under this benchmark.

The tricky element of this handicap is that Colombia is 4-1 to the under against 8.5 corners. However, the lone over came against Brazil when Colombia was a comparable price.
