NFL roster cutdown 2024: Dolphins WR Odell Beckham Jr. to miss at least 4 games after being placed on PUP list

Running back Hassan Haskins has been claimed off waivers by the Los Angeles Chargers, reuniting him with former Michigan coach Jim Harbaugh. Haskins, who was waived by the Tennessee Titans, played for Harbaugh at Michigan from 2018 to 2021 and was a team captain his senior year.

The 29-year-old Cook played last season with the Jets and Ravens, rushing for 214 yards in 67 attempts. He is eligible to play in Week 1 should the Cowboys need him. For now, he will remain with the practice squad.

The New England Patriots are hoping Christian Barnmore can return at some point this season after placing the DT on the Reserve/Non-Football Injury List on Tues

Just as training camp got under way, the Patriots announced that Barmore, 25, had been diagnosed with blood clots and treated at a local hospital.

Barnmore is entering his fourth season in New England after being a second-round pick out of Alabama in 2021. In April, he signed a four-year extension worth up to $92 million with $41.8 million guaranteed.

Cine was taken 32nd overall by the Vikings in 2022. He suffered a compound fracture to his lower left leg during Week 4 of the 2022 season while on special teams.

He played 10 games over two seasons with Minnesota, and was inactive for 10 games .

The Packers running back will miss the 2024 season due to a neck injury.

Dillon, 26, played 15 games last season with Green Bay. He ran for 613 yards and two touchdowns.

Parham was with the Chargers for the last four seasons after going undrafted out of Steton. He is coming off a season where he posted career-highs in receptions (27), targets (41), receiving yards (285), and touchdowns (4).

The 36-year-old veteran quarterback is dealing with a foot injury and will not play this season. Keenum spent last season with the Texans where he appeared in two games, throwing one touchdown and three interceptions.

The New York Jets are sending defensive back and returner Brandon Codrinton to the Bills, according to multiple reports. In exchange, the Jets will receive multiple late-round 2026 draft picks.

The Kansas City Chiefs have scooped up a new tight end. The Chiefs struck a deal with the Dallas Cowboys for Peyton Hendershot, who the Cowboys were planning to waive anyways. In return, Dallas will receive a 2026 conditional seventh round draft pick.

The former Indiana tight end had four catches for 38 yards last season in Dallas.

The Buffalo Bills waived Frank Gore Jr. on Tuesday ahead of the deadline. Gore, the son of longtime NFL running back Frank Gore, went undrafted out of Southern Mississippi.

Desmond Ridder has apparently lost his backup quarterback competition with Clayton Tune in Phoenix. The Cardinals released Ridder on Tuesday, just months after they traded for him in a deal with the Falcons.

The Kansas City Chiefs released Kadarius Toney on Tuesday. He had just 169 receiving yards and a touchdown last season, his first full one with the Chiefs. We'll see where he lands next.

T.J. Hockenson will begin the 2024 NFL season on the PUP list, ruling him out for the Vikings' first four games against the Giants, 49ers, Texans, and Packers.

Hockenson suffered a torn ACL and MCL during Week 16 last season. He finished the season with 95 receptions for 960 yards and five touchdowns.

The Dallas Cowboys are reportedly set to meet with running back Dalvin Cook on Monday night. Cook spent most of lsat season with the Jets, and then joined the Baltimore Ravens for their playoff run.

While he had four straight 1,000-yard seasons with the Minnesota Vikings, Cook had just 214 rushing yards and didn't score a touchdown with the Jets in 2023.

Cook would join Ezekiel Elliott in Dallas, who signed a one-year, $2 million deal to return to the Cowboys this past offseason.

Detroit Lions defensive lineman DJ Reader has passed his physical and is off the PUP list, the team announced Sunday. Reader suffered a torn quadricep tendon in Week 15 last season, while playing with the Cincinnati Bengals. He signed with the Lions in March.

The Jacksonville Jaguars have released wide receiver Denzel Mims, per NFL Network's Tom Pelissero. Mims, who is 26 and entering his fifth season in the league, signed with the Jaguars in June after a year on the Pittsburgh Steelers' practice squad.

The Miami Dolphins are releasing Mike White, per multiple reports. The 29-year-old quarterback joined the Dolphins in 2023 on a two-year contract; Skylar Thompson will now be Tua Tagovailoa's backup without White.

The Chicago Bears shore up their defense through a trade with the Cleveland Browns, sending a 2025 6th-round pick to Cleveland in exchange for DT Chris Williams and a 2025 7th-round pick.

Rams OL Alaric Jackson has been suspended without pay for the first 2 games of the season for violating the NFL's personal conduct policy.

The 26-year-old Jackson is entering his fourth NFL season after going undrafted in 2021. After playing 12 total games over his first two seasons he appeared in 15 for the Rams in 2023.

Jackson will miss the Rams' games against the Detroit Lions and Arizona Cardinals. He's eligible to return for their Week 3 game against the San Francisco 49ers.

OT Jackson Carman was one of 11 players cut by the Cincinnati Bengals on Friday.

Carman was selected 46th overall in 2021 out of Clemson and played 17 games his rookie year, but only five over the past two seasons.

The Chicago Bears have gained another pass rusher, receiving linebacker Darrell Taylor in a trade with the Seattle Seahawks, per NFL Network's Tom Pelissero. In return, the Seahawks receive a 2025 sixth-round pick.

Patriots head coach Jerod Mayo said Brissett will be QB1 in their preseason finale. Drake Maye will see the field at some point during the game.

Mayo said earlier this week that the Patriots' QB battle will be decided by Monday night.

The 24-year-old Havrisik spent last season with the Los Angeles Rams. He went 15-for-20 on field goal attempts and was 19-for-22 on extra points.

Bears DB Douglas Coleman III left Thursday's game in Kansas City on a stretcher after suffering an injury on the first play of the second half. Head coach Matt Eberflus said Coleman had movement in his extremities and he did give the team a thumbs up.

The Panthers will face the Bills on Saturday.
