About Louisiana Sports Betting
Louisiana began offering online sports betting in November 2021, and DraftKings Sportsbook came to Louisiana when it launched in January 2022. DraftKings Sportsbook is offered through a partnership with The Golden Nugget Lake Charles. Anyone who is at least 21 years of age, has a valid United States Social Security Number, and is physically located within a parish where a majority of the qualified electors in the parish voted in favor of the proposition to authorize sports betting in the parish can bet with DraftKings Sportsbook.
Sports betting in Louisiana is regulated by the Louisiana Gaming Control Board (LGCB). With that, Louisiana has regulations that may differ from other states.
DraftKings Sportsbook offers dozens of American and international sports for users to bet on. There are also many different bet types that are unique to DraftKings such as live, in-game betting, and Teasers+.
