Change your Gmail language settings

You can change the language you use in Gmail, and use special keyboards to type in other languages.

To change the language of your Gmail app, you must change the device's language setting. When you change the language, it affects other apps on your phone.

  1. On your iPhone or iPad, open Settings.
  2. Tap General and then Language & Region and then Add language.
  3. Select your preferred language.
  4. Tap Done.
