Rumours intensify that Sting will make shock WWE return and face Undertaker at WrestleMania 36

Sting was forced to retire back in 2016 at the WWE Hall of Fame ceremony - of which he was inducted - due to a bad neck injury.

Now 60-years-old, rumours are running rampant that the WCW icon has been medically cleared to have another WWE match.

And it's believed that match will be with The Undertaker.

Sting has made no secret of his desire to have that dream match and it was really why he signed with WWE at all many years ago.

In an interview with Sports Illustrated, Sting said: "If there was a 'Taker situation at WrestleMania, I would listen to that phone call. I could get in condition and I could pull it off."

Mike Johnson, who correctly reported Edge's return at the Royal Rumble, has also weighed in on Sting's return and has noted there has been talk of it.

“As noted several weeks ago in The Elite section of PWInsider.com, there had been a push for Sting to be used at the 2/27 event, but as of last night, we are told those talks have died down.”

Whether it is on or off, Sting seems determined to get his match and Undertaker would likely enjoy working with him too.

Saudi Arabia would be an option for both men and certainly a lucrative one, but Sting has insisted he would like it to be at WrestleMania.

The legendary grappler performed at WrestleMania 31 against Triple H and he fought Seth Rollins at Clash of Champions, but those are his only performances in a WWE ring.

His match with Rollins didn't end the way he would have liked as the legend was visibly in distress after taking a bad bump to his neck.

However, if he has been medically cleared, then like Edge, he can end his career on his own terms.
