Since we’re pasta blogging now, does anyone have a recipe for a green pasta sauce (ie one with blended leafy greens) that actually tastes good?

When I am making a pesto I will do basil, spinach, olive oil, garlic, lemon, salt + pepper, hard cheese of choice (grana padano, parm, pecorino etc), nut of choice (mandated pine nuts in this economy is insane frankly and tbh most any nut will be a fine substitute) in a food processor / blender. Move ingredients up / down as needed to get the consistency you like.

Adjacent to this is that every summer one of my go-to things I like to bring to a BBQ / potluck is a minty pea dip plus a baguette to serve it with. So refreshing and delightful and easy. An instant hit. I use THIS recipe.

okay but PLEASE drop the yogurt dessert bowl recipe!! i’ve been looking for a good one 🥺

Hi! I don’t really have a “recipe” but I’ve basically had a protein overnight oats for breakfast and a yogurt bowl for dessert every night for the last … 1.5 years.

I’ll typically do greek yogurt, protein powder of choice, hemp seeds, psyllium husk, frozen berry of choice. And if I’m feeling wacky or there’s room in my macros a square of dark chocolate crumbled up.

If you had Taylor's..ahem..means...what would your wardrobe look like? Sometimes millionaire's choices are so interesting to me. I would have everything custom and tailored, be designing stuff for myself etc when not wearing amazing designer or handmade stuff. Not sure I would be buying fast fashion ever again

It’s interesting because I don’t know how much of my personal style/tastes would change with more money. I already don’t really partake in fast fashion and prioritize quality materials and pieces that are versatile, that work in my wardrobe, can see myself wearing for years. Maybe I’d go for brands with higher price tags but still quality materials and start bumping up there. Tailoring is always a great thing to do but for the functions of my life do I need custom made things? Maybe every now and then for a certain need I’d work with a really amazing designer to create a gown etc.

I think I’d have more disposable income to flirt with trendy pieces that I’m interested in and want to dip a toe in but I hold off because they might not be “forever” worthy.

One area where I know I’d quickly start spiralling is designer bags. It’s a part of my closet I completely ignore because my go to bag is a backpack for work. I’ve been thinking about it a lot lately (perhaps worth a newsletter topic of “categories in my closet I’ve been ignoring”) but I’ve been wanting to get into that category so much more in the last few months.

Okay this is a random question but can you drop your hair care routine because wow your hair is so flawless lol

Hi! This is incredibly kind lol. I actually do not have a hair routine nor do I use products on the daily and I am an air dry type of girl. I’m curious about masks and oils and styling cremes etc but I don’t have the energy for them lol.

Hi Sarah!!! I hope you are having a good Monday ❤️ I’m thinking of planning a cute little trip to Portland soon for my birthday and I’ve never been. Do you have any recommendations or helpful tips from your recent trip? Thank you in advance!

Hi hi! Aw this is so fun. You should definitely make sure you hit up Salt & Straw (ice cream) and Blue Star (donuts).

You should also stop into OMSI for a day (science museum). It’s very fun! Love the exhibits. As well as Powells (gigantic bookstore).

I mostly recommend Portland as a relaxed foodie-centric getaway so if you find yourself planning trips around food you’re going to be in great hands! I chatted more about the places I hit up in my recent Portland post on the TSS newsletter here but you should also hit up ¿Por Qué No? for tacos, Ken’s for pizza, and angelface for cocktails. I also like Broder for brunch.

Hope you have the best time!

Sarah, if I may ask, what is your double cleansing routine like? As an oily-skinned girlie, I need to know! Thank you in advance :)

Hi! I am incredibly dry skinned so what I use might not work for you but my double cleansing is usually a soothing, thick, emollient balm or cream cleanser to get rid of all the makeup followed by a gel cleanser.

hi sarah, i hope all is well! sorry this isn't taylor related but do you or your followers have any perfume recs? (preferably something with a vanilla note but would appreciate anything and everything) 💘

Hi hi! I’ve lately been enjoying ‘Vanilla Era’ by Boy Smells which is one of my favourite candle / perfume brands. And how appropriate is that name? ;)

I also put a list of some of my fave all time perfumes on the TSS newsletter HERE.

Speaking of facials, do you get them done often and if so, what kind?

I do facials as needed or if I have an event, for instance. I am personally more likely to turn to something like a laser or microneedling if what I am looking for is more substantive changes to my skin. But as a luxurious “treat” I maybe get a facial 2-3/year. For instance will probably get one done before my cousin’s facial / when I get back from long haul travel as a glowification for a special occasion / revive my face from exhaustion and travel.

It just occurred to me that your blog probably existed before the song “Style” did! I wasn’t on tumblr at that time, did you get excited when it was announced?

It did indeed! I made the blog October 2011 and I’m sure you can imagine my shock, surprise, and delight to have a song called “Style” by Taylor Swift* when you made a blog called Taylor Swift Style**

And all that was compounded even more so when the song “Style” was revealed to be the bop of the century.

*and to be given the opportunity to make that exact joke to taylor swift and make her laugh :') **which would go on to become a book named taylor swift style :')) personal tss the book
