Last month, The Estée Lauder Companies Inc. announced that Peter Hawkings had stepped down as Creative Director of TOM FORD after just one year. The company assured that a successor would be announced in the “near future.” Currently, several top fashion houses are without creative directors, sparking curiosity about the potential opportunities this brings. As we entered 2024, iconic brands like MOSCHINO, LANVIN, #Supreme, and GIVENCHY found themselves without creative directors – but this period of transition offered exciting possibilities. The absence of a creative director, while challenging, can also be a period of reflection and renewal for a fashion house. It allows the brand to reassess its vision, explore new ideas, and even surprise the market with unexpected directions. Established brands with strong legacies can rely on their in-house teams to maintain the brand’s core identity, while also experimenting with fresh concepts that keep the brand dynamic and forward-looking. On Tuesday, 20 August, Lifestyle Asia Thailand celebrated its inaugural 50 ICONS Awards at SPHERE HALL, EmSphere, in partnership with Harley-Davidson Motor Company, Iceland Springs, Snowy and Silver Wolf, Hamilton Watch, Flying Goose Brand, and Mali. The event was attended by prestigious guests including Onthira Vicky Bharksuwana, Pyn Wongleecharoen, Onchuma Durongdej, Jittiporn Jantarach, and Siriwan Tangcharoenchaichana, amongst others. Hosted by DJ Carla Porter from MET107, the 50 ICONS Awards honours individuals who have stood firm in their passion and pursued their own journeys to success; achieving remarkable accomplishments, both in Thailand and abroad. The award winners span over eight categories, including Influencer; Fashion; Idol; Artist; Sport; Inspirational; Art & Culture; and Entrepreneur. On Friday, 16 August, Prestige Singapore hosted its third annual Women of Power event at New Bahru under the theme Uplifting Women and Beyond, in partnership with Louis Vuitton. This year, Prestige Singapore honoured 28 inspirational women who are paving the way in their respective fields and driving positive change across the country. The Women of Power initiative began with Prestige Hong Kong in 2021, and in 2022 was carried across the region, with Prestige Thailand, Prestige Singapore, and Prestige Malaysia all proudly hosting their own Women of Power events. This year’s event featured two panels, each with three panelists who focused on impact philanthropy and personal branding in the social media age. Both panels were moderated by broadcast host and producer, Denise Keller. The panel on Impact Philanthropy featured Kathlyn Tan; Belinda Lee; and Hazlina Abdul Halim, where the panel on Personal Branding in the Social Media Age featured Tjin Lee; Jamie QQ Wu; and Anna Vanessa Haotanto 陳安娜. There's no escaping the infectious music performed by PSYCHIC FEVER from EXILE TRIBE. The seven-member Japanese boy band are the cover stars for Lifestyle Asia Singapore Vol. 9 Also known as PSYFE, in their debut year, the group received the "Next Generation Global Award" at South Korea's 2022 Genie Music Awards. This year, the group kicked off their first Asia tour, which included cities in Japan, Thailand, and Malaysia. They also had their first performance outside of Asia at the Japan Expo Paris 2024 Festival, followed by a pop-up performance in Los Angeles.
