The father-of-six confessed that his unhealthy eating habits, fueled by constant snacking and tasting while cooking, contributed to the problem. Ramsay recalled how his weight made him self-conscious:

"Tana wasn't impressed with how I looked. I looked like a sack of sh-t. I'd see myself in photos and wonder how Tana stayed with me. She's gorgeous, and there I was, a fat f-ck."

It was not until Tana pointed out his growing waistline that he decided to make a significant change by taking up cycling. "It was a big wake-up call," he said.

Tilly Ramsay Slammed Radio Host For Body-Shaming Comments

Gordon Ramsay was not the only one who faced weight-related criticism. While his wife's comments were made out of concern, the scrutiny directed at his daughter, Tilly, was far less supportive.

In 2021, during a segment on LBC, host Steve Allen took aim at the then-19-year-old, calling her a "chubby little thing" and speculating that her father's cooking was to blame.

However, The Blast reported that Tilly did not stay silent after the UK radio host's derogatory remarks about her appearance. The "Strictly Come Dancing" contestant swiftly fired back, addressing the incident in a powerful Instagram post.

"I try not to read and listen to comments and negativity; however, recently being called out on a national radio station by a 67-year-old man is a step too far," Tilly wrote.

She emphasized that while she's learning to embrace herself amidst public scrutiny, she found it disheartening that such negative commentary can overshadow positive experiences.

Tilly also opened up about the ongoing challenges of dealing with public comments about her appearance. "This isn't the first and definitely won't be the last comment made about my appearance," she wrote, adding, "but please remember that words can hurt."

Gordon Ramsay's Daughter Received Support From Dr. Alex GeorgeĀ

Following her public condemnation of LBC radio host Steve Allen for body-shaming comments made about her, Tilly received support from a known figure. To bolster her stance, Tilly shared a supportive letter from Dr. Alex George, who condemned Allen's remarks as harmful and unacceptable.

Dr. George emphasized the harmful impact of such comments on individuals' mental health and acknowledged the potential influence of the radio show on listeners, stating:

"We must not only think about Tilly here, which I can imagine could be significant but also the potential impact to listeners of the show."

Tilly expressed her gratitude for Dr. George's support with a heartfelt "Thank you so much,"  across the image.

Gordon Ramsay's fans must be thrilled to see him back on his feet and having fun!
