NFL Analyst: Clemson Rookie ‘Showed up and Showed Out’ in Debut

By

This former NFL player and current analyst certainly took notice of a Clemson rookie’s impressive performance in his preseason debut.

Brian Baldinger took to social media with some praise for former Tiger defensive lineman Tyler Davis, who stood out while posting six total tackles, two solo tackles, a tackle for loss and a quarterback hit in the Los Angeles Rams’ preseason opener against the Dallas Cowboys this past weekend.

Baldinger loved what he saw from Davis and the effort displayed by the Rams’ sixth-round pick in April’s draft.

“(Tyler Davis) was pick #196 but he sure showed up and showed out in his first Varsity Action v the (Cowboys),” Baldinger wrote in a post on X (formerly Twitter). “This effort is how you make a roster.”

Baldinger — a current NFL Network analyst and former NFL offensive lineman who had a 13-year career with the Dallas Cowboys, Indianapolis Colts and Philadelphia Eagles – broke down tape from Davis in his preseason debut.
