Vermont offers a range of financial assistance programs designed to support businesses, innovators, and entrepreneurs. From tax credits and loan programs to funding initiatives for rural development, Vermont provides numerous resources to help you start, grow, or expand your business.

 

Description
The Brownfield Revitalizations Fund provides financial assistance for the productive reuse of sites that are currently abandoned or not fully utilized due to contamination.
Federal and state rehabilitation tax credits help stimulate private investment, create jobs, restore historic buildings, and jump start revitalization in Vermont’s Designated Downtowns and Village Centers.
Municipalities and the developer of a qualified project within a designated downtown district may jointly apply for a reallocation of sales taxes on construction materials.
Opportunity Zones are a tax incentive aimed at increasing private investment in low-income census tracts.
REDI helps rural communities access funding for community and business development by providing grant writing assistance.
