'Kaala' was the most challenging film in my career: Anthony Ruban

Tamil superstar, Rajinikanth’s recently released movie, Kaala’s sound designer Anthony Ruban shared that it was a herculean task to present the vibes of Dharavi. The movie marks the noted sound designer’s third venture with director Pa Ranjith after Madras and Kabali.
He revealed that Kaala was the most challenging film he had ever worked in his career so far. The slum area and the way of life of people who inhabited the place posed really some artistic challenges to him, adds Anthony Ruban.
He shares that representing the social mores of the community or the politics and culture of the slum was indeed a major challenge to him.
The movie narrated the life of a gangster and his efforts to save Dharavi from a shrewd politician’s plan to ‘clean it up.’ Huma Qureshi plays the role of Kaala’s ex-lover in the movie.
