Situated just a fifteen minute walk from the coastal village of Thornham is Wild Luxury Drove Orchards. A collection of beautifully appointed safari tents, providing a special base from which to explore North Norfolk. Set amongst 350 acres of orchards, farmland and wild meadows, kids will love to explore the vast expanse of space. Meanwhile adults will appreciate the peace of this wonderful site, which also includes the nearby Drove Orchards Rural Market. Housing a farm shop, fishmongers, a yurt restaurant, artisan shops, cycle hire and an ice cream parlour. You may not even need to leave!
Sleeping from two up to six people per safari tent, they are the ideal base for a glamping break. Operating between Easter and October half term, families are particularly well looked after. With two bedrooms, plus an additional cabin bed. Eight cabins are located in the Home Camp, with a further three occupying a more secluded spot in the Top Camp.

Your safari tent at Wild Luxury Drove Orchards is set within a spacious plot, facing out to view their lovely surroundings. Enter into the open plan living space. Settle into the leather sofa, keeping toasty and warm beside the log burning stove. Not just for heat, it’s also a proper stove for cooking on too. In the kitchen area you’ll find all you need to prepare a family sized feast. And you can take the time to dine together at the dining table. Head through to the bedrooms, a double, next to a twin bedroom. Plus, there’s a cute hideaway cabin bed opening out into the lounge and the twin bedroom. And because sharing isn’t always caring, to the rear you’ll find your private shower room and loo.
Outside
The beauty of your safari tent is the ease with which the inside rolls into the outside. Throw open the canvas frontage and head out onto your private sun deck, seamlessly blending inside with the out. Enjoy that first morning coffee to the tweet of birdsong from your comfy outdoor furniture. Make use of the barbecue grill/firepit and embrace outdoor living, both cooking and eating al fresco. And come night time, allow the starry dark skies to entrance you.

The location of Wild Luxury Drove Orchards is perfect for exploring Norfolk. For those who love their beaches, you’re spoiled for choice. Holkham, a beach loved by the late Queen, is just under half an hour away by car. A little closer is Hunstanton, with its two beaches. One side is a little livelier, while the old beach has a more traditional village feel. Or head to the National Trust owned Brancaster Estate. If bird spotting is your thing, RSPB Snettisham is around twenty minutes away. With plenty of nature reserves dotted around the county, such as Holme Dunes National Nature Reserve. If you love your marine life, head to Sealife Hunstanton. And if you fancy spotting a royal, the vast Sandringham Estate is just twenty minutes away.
