I thought Evil’s new season was in the can months ago. Why do you think they aren’t airing it.
Return date TBD = renewed, but no return date determined yet.
Robert King explained on X (October 10) that they were filming the season finale when the strike started. So now, they have to wait until the strike is over to shoot the second half of the episode.
Why bother promoting this? Nearly every show that I looked at is showing either TBD or fate unknown. Wait until some are announced before promoting this story.
That’s what I was gonna say🤣 The vast majority are gonna stay TBD until the new year.
Maybe run this after the actor’s strike is settled and scheduling decisions have been made.
The whole point is that here are the shows that will be coming back. We ALL know nothing will happen until the strike is over, but now we have a handy dandy list to use when the return onslaught begins. THANK YOU TVLine!!!!!!!!!!
Because they’ll update it as new info comes in. They do it every year?
What is the point of running this list if 95% of the shows listed say TBD?!?!
We already know that!!!
not sure why you posted this — should have been — here are the shows with return dates we have rather than this list of tbds to bum you out
To quote the great Troy Barnes “I want TBD. Is that new?”
Until the actors strike ends it’s almost all TBD.And TBD means 2024 and even then that’s assuming the surviving of strike caused cancellations.
I didn’t see “Night Agent”
Good catch! Added. And thanks for reading! –Mgmt.
How about Panhandle? 🙏
Pretty sure y’all making up shows now…. ;)
No not at all!

Check IMDb out.
It was surprisingly good and season 1 ended with an awesome cliffhanger.
Transplant?
Night Agent was GREAT !! Watched it last week … Action, mystery, thriller n love story … all in one !!!
I was looking through your list and noticed that it included Archer. You had it ending last week. That made me remember that there was going to be an announcement at NY Comic Con. So, I looked it up. There will be a three part wrap-up story starting on December 17.
Indeed; this was sent to the printers before NYCC weekend. Updated! –Mgmt.
You guys can probably take Archer off the list now…
Fall…2024. As long as the actors strike continues , why even bother. Even if they reach a deal tomorrow per se, it’ll still be at least January before filming can begin. Then at least another 2 months to have enough episodes in the can ready for viewing. This season is probably a wash. Best case is a 13 episode scenario.
Actual experts in the field have said that if the strike is resolved by the end of October, filming on most series could start before the end of November. Yes, best case scenario is still 10-13 episode seasons, but your ‘facts’ aren’t true, and the ‘why bother’ is because people have things like their healthcare riding on getting back to work as soon as possible.
You seem like a real joy to be around.
Add Twisted Metal and Slasher! Both aired seasons within the last 6 months and aren’t on the list or cancelled/renewed yet.
Silo, The Big Door Prize, Shrinking, Extraordinary, and That 90s Show all were renewed but aren’t on this list. I believe The Big Door Prize already filmed S2.
The Resort and She-Hulk aired a little over a year ago with no announcement. I still have them on my TBD list, but they’re increasingly looking like they won’t come back so I understand them not being on the list.
And I still have hopes for Hawkeye though it’s almost 2 years in the rearview at this point.
Several of these have been added, thank you. (That ’90s Show is under T.)
Thanks, I appreciate the list and the additions!
What about 1923?
Numerical titles are listed under first letter if spelled out. So in this case, N.
What about The Diplomat?
Another good catch! (There are many TV shows.) Added! And thank you for reading.
Ahhhh, but I think there might be 2 different series titled “The Diplomat”: both on Netflix; both started in 2023 and renewed for season two; one british (set in Barcelona) and one american (with Keri Russell, set in London).
Not the best choice of titles I guess…… LOL!
Can’t help you there, sorry. We only speak Keri Russell here.
Ah, this is going to be something I need to bookmark for updates. Thank you! I didn’t see Alex Rider or The Rig on the list.
Odd, Alex was 100% there (because I checked in with Freevee on its status just yesterday). Gremlins!@!@!
This will be super helpful when they get back to filming
Dang straight it will be!
Any news on Joe Pickett?
Why can we still NOT get a straight answer on Holey Moley???
Hi sorry to be a pain just a couple corrections. For all Mankind is returning in January. They just had a trailer for it on Apple TV+. Also the Terminal List is an Amazon Prime show not Netflix. But thank you for this list. It is very helpful.
FAM is Nov. 10-Jan. 12:
https://tvline.com/lists/for-all-mankind-season-4-release-date-teaser-apple-tv-plus/
Every show I watch and was excited to see when it is returning is TBD…..hopefully your next post will be better! Thanks for posting….
Angie
What about The Librarians? It was supposed to be continued by The CW.
Added.
Any Young Royals news?
I noticed that Ted Lasso was listed as fate TBD. I’m pretty sure it’s known that season 3 was going to be the final season. Thanks for the list!
Apple TV+ has never ever confirmed that.
My favorite shows are all TBD. BUMMER!
Seal Team is listed as TBD but all the articles out there have a return date of 11/2/23
That’s repeats on CBS.
What about Wolf Pack?
Wolf Pack has been cancelled.
No Second season. : (
I’d rather see a show on the list and noted as TBD than having no clue at all as to its fate. At least this way, I know a show in the hopper and not in the wind, and can look for updates. Sorry, not sorry, ingrates. Publish your own media site and you can phone it in and be as lame as you please. As for me, I’ll continue appreciating the hard work and diligence of TV Line and other news and entertainment outlets.
* …I know a show in in the hopper…
