NBC is getting its hands good and dirty with a series order for Grosse Pointe Garden Society, a new drama about the scandalous goings-on of a suburban garden club, TVLine has learned.
Written by Jenna Bans (Desperate Housewives, Scandal, Good Girls) and Bill Krebs (No Tomorrow, Good Girls), the series focuses on four very different members of the titular garden club who “get caught up in murder and mischief as they struggle to make their conventional lives bloom,” per the official synopsis.
The show’s ensemble cast includes Melissa Fumero (Brooklyn Nine-Nine), AnnaSophia Robb (The Carrie Diaries), Ben Rappaport (For the People), Matthew Davis (Legacies), Alexander Hodge (Insecure), Aja Naomi King (Lessons in Chemistry), Nancy Travis (Last Man Standing) and Felix Avitia (Raven’s Home).
Bans and Krebs will also executive-produce, alongside Casey Kyber and pilot director Maggie Kiley. The project hails from Universal Television and Minnesota Logging Co.
A network rep tells TVLine that it has not yet been determined if the series will air as soon as midseason or be held the 2025-26 season.
Grosse Pointe Garden Society is one of two new dramas ordered to series by NBC this week, the other being the Stephen Amell-led Suits L.A.

I hope it gives that Desperate Housewives vibe, since it sounds like it.
Sign me up, I love a wealthy suburban woman acting badly show. The past shows of the writers along with Aja Naomi King sealed the deal for me.
This show sounds right up my alley. I hope we don’t have to wait til the 25-26 season.
Now this is the new show I am most excited about!
Love this cast

I’m so excited about this one!! The title obviously reminds me of gone too soon Grosse Pointe, but the cast and description are very much a Desperate Housewives meets Shondaland. Right up my alley.
“The project hails from Universal Television and Minnesota Logging Co.”
I know this has to be the name of the production company, but it’s still a funny sentence.
Wasn’t this exactly what Season 2 of Why Woman Kill by Marc Cherry was about? I’ll still watch though.
