The Traitors Scores Two-Season Renewal at Peacock, Ahead of Season 3 Premiere
Alan Cumming ought to stock up on spiffy berets, because The Traitors isn’t going anywhere.
Well ahead of its return for Season 3, the reality competition has been renewed for Seasons 4 and 5 at Peacock, TVLine has learned. Cumming will be back as host for both cycles.
The two-season pickup comes after The Traitors‘ sophomore run scored four Primetime Emmy nominations earlier this summer, including nods for directing, cinematography, hosting and Outstanding Reality Competition Program.
The series, which debuted on Peacock in 2023, brings contestants to the Scottish Highlands, where they work together to win missions and build a prize fund of up to $250,000. Hidden among the Faithful are a group of Traitors hand-selected by Cumming; each night, the Traitors “murder” a Faithful, in hopes of reaching the finale together and collecting the prize money for themselves. The Faithful, meanwhile, try to identify the Traitors, banish them from the game and split the prize money among their fellow Faithfuls at the end.
And though The Traitors‘ first season combined reality TV veterans with some never-before-seen newbies, Season 2 shifted to an all-celebrity roster. Season 3 is expected in early 2025, with a cast including Survivor‘s Rob Mariano, The Bachelorette‘s Gabby Windey and Selling Sunset‘s Chrishell Stause. (See the full lineup here.)

Great news! Love this show. And if I’m being honest, I’d watch Alan Cumming read a phone book!
I love all the Traitors shows. BUT there need to be regular people. Celebrities are ok if 3 or 4, but the other Traitor shows have mostly regular people and are much better.
They should alternate between celebrity and regular seasons.
The U.K. version, the cast don’t stay at the castle. In the U.S. version, they imply that the U.S> cast does. Interesting. It makes me wonder how they deliver the you’ve been murdered letter to the U.K. cast.
I really like the host of the Australian version, Rodger Corser. A very humorous gentleman.
As for the U.S. version, I don’t like having the reality show veterans on, because they are far too often over-the-top, emotionally, to an embarrassing degree. Plus, some of the cast tend to have preset alliances. A loyalty to fellow cast members from the previous reality shows they were on. That is the same problem with the cast of “The Challenge”.
I would like to see a season with no celebrities.
I’m going to binge for the first time this weekend. Sounds fun.
