Kristen Wiig is here to make you sweat… whether you like it or not.
This week’s Saturday Night Live featured a faux trailer for a horror movie where two women reluctantly enter a dark and mysterious room with strange machines, when they’re greeted by Wiig’s peppy Pilates instructor: “Hey mamas! Is this your first class?” The movie Pilates, “from the creators of Saw,” promises “a chilling new look at girl horror,” with one woman describing the terrible things she’s seen in a Pilates studio: “It’s so hard, but also so boring.”
Wiig’s instructor orders her poor victims to “take those ankle straps around your waist and your knee straps around your head” as women cry out in pain on a Pilates reformer, which “looks like it’s designed for torture… but somehow, also sex.” The other exercisers are all “ex-dancers or first-time moms… Usually, there are eight gorgeous women and one gay men who doesn’t wear underwear.” But an 11-months pregnant woman has no problem performing all the moves — and neither does supermodel Kaia Gerber: “This is randomly so easy!”
Don’t try wearing regular socks and not sticky socks to class, either, or you’ll be cast out like a demon. And don’t underestimate those one-pound weights: They can be a killer.

This was so funny I’m a Pilates instructor and yes an ex Dancer 💃 😂 😂
I love how the inventor was a POW that invented Pilates, in a POW camp, so that his fellow inmates could exercise. He tried to open a studio in NYC, and envisioned it helping BOXERS get better at fighting. But his gym was near a Ballet studio, and some of the dancers discovered Pilates, and the rest is history.
The most accurate description of my Pilates classes I’ve ever seen. And yes, I did Pilates through my 9th month of pregnancy!
This was the funniest skit the entire night. I loved it.
