Timmy who? There’s only one name on Cosmo and Wanda’s minds when the first family of fairies returns to Nickelodeon in their brand-new series — and that name is Hazel Wells.
The Fairly OddParents: A New Wish relocates the colorful couple from Dimsdale to — wait for it — Dimmadelphia, where they come out of retirement to help a young girl in need. As revealed in TVLine’s exclusive trailer above, the new series also features a “reimagined” version of the original series’ Fairy World.
Premiering on Monday, May 20 at 4:30/3:30c, A New Wish introduces viewers to 10-year-old Hazel, who’s been feeling slightly adrift ever since her brother left for college and she moved to a new city with her dad. According to Nickelodeon, “all that changes when the pink-and-green-haired neighbors next door reveal that they are no ordinary neighbors… they’re Cosmo and Wanda, fairy godparents!”
The remainder of the show’s 20-episode season will roll out weekdays in that same time slot.
Ashleigh Crystal Hairston (Craig of the Creek) stars as the voice of Hazel, joined by Daran Norris and Susanne Blakeslee, who are both returning as Cosmo and Wanda.
Created by Butch Hartman, the original Fairly OddParents aired for 10 seasons on Nickelodeon from 2008 to 2017. The franchise has spawned several spinoff projects, including three live-action movies and the live-action Paramount+ series The Fairly OddParents: Fairly Odder.
Produced by Nickelodeon Animation, A New Wish is co-executive produced by David Stone, Lindsay Katai, Ashleigh Crystal Hairston and Daniel Abramovici. Fred Seibert also executive-produces with Hartman. Production is overseen by Claudia Spinelli, Kelley Gardner and Neil Wade.

Fairly Oddparents originally aired from 2001 to 2006.
2001 to 2017 is correct. Yes, technically production on the original run ended in 2006, and the intended “finale” aired November 2006. But the show was back on the air with new episodes by February 2008. New episodes continued to air intermittently until July 2017.
Ah gotcha, thanks!
Got it as well! Thanks, too!
GodChild? Let’s keep Jesus out of our kids’ ‘toons, shall we?
Calling them OddChildren would be a smidge cruel…
I. Am. So. Freaking. Excited for the new reboot! Although I heard rumor that the reboot was bad, but I think its so good! Takes place this year, and I totally fall in love with the new godchild Hazel! I’m totally making fanart in the works.
(Does anyone do any fanart or anything related to this yet? It’s not mandatory ya know)
Can’t belive that it’s only the beginning of May so we have about 19 days left!
BTW, so happy! XD
